Vijay TV has decided to honour Maestro Ilayaraja for reaching the land mark of scoring music for 1000 films on 27th February. Usually, Ilayaraja avoids such functions but it’s a great surprise for all as he has consented to arrange such grand festival.
He addressed the media and clarified his opinion about this function. He told that 1000 movies is just a number and it cannot bring him real honour or satisfaction. Ilayaraja also explained that music is his life, breathe and soul. He does not feel proud about this landmark.
Ilayaraja considers the appreciations of his fans are the real laurels to him and they please his heart, mind and soul. Further he adores music as his God, he has accepted for this function only to meet all his fans and to dedicate the honour to the God himself for having given him this great opportunity to live with music.
