Actor Arjun Das had his last outing in the musical adventure children drama Kumki 2 scripted by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in lead roles. The Bomb star is now eagerly expecting the release of his next entertainer Con City. Debutant director Harish Durairaj, who was one of the members of the directing team of Tourist Family, has inked and directed the drama.
Writers Ubasakan, Harihara Tamilselvan, Gokul Sugumaran, and Sudhir Muthu have worked on the film’s screenplay. Actress Anna Ben of Kottukkaali fame has played the role of actor Arjun Das’s wife in the entertainer. Con City was extensively shot across many places in Chennai, Mangalore, and Mumbai. The makers have publicized that the movie will release on 26th of June. They had recently unveiled the title teaser, and a couple of singles from the movie on social media. They have now dropped the third single from the album.
Taking to his official X profile, musician Sean Roldan himself released the third single ‘Fraud Payale’ from Con City and captioned it, “From my heart, next Con City single Fraud Payale. Singer Sublahshini has sung the number. Lyricist Mohan Rajan has inked lyrics for the song. The track is mixed and mastered by Aswin George John. Dance master Santhosh has choreographed dance moves for the song. Music director Sean Roldan has handled musical instruments for the entertainer.
Already two tracks ‘Korean Family’ crooned by Vangal Pulla Vicky, Sublahshini, & Leela lyrics inked by Mohan Rajan, and ‘Naan Dhaan King’ in the vocals of Kelithee, Lalitha Sudha, & Sean Roldan lyrics penned by Mohan Rajan & Kelithee, is out from the album. The title teaser of Con City had actor Arjun Das as an individual grappling with debt, who in a surreal fashion gets an electronic gadget that prints money, and it propels his family into a state of chaos.
The star cast of Con City also includes actors Ramesh Thilak, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ponvannan, Nanda Gopal, Radha Ravi, Arul Doss, Vadivukkarasi, Thambi Ramaiah, Akhilan, Baradwaj Rangan, Dheepa Ramanujam, Imman Annachi, Shaji Chen, Sathanand, Madhan Kumar Dhakshinamoorthy, and Ragu Esaki.
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has been behind the lens for the project. Editor Arul Moses A has been roped in to chop and patch the venture. Art director Suren G has erected sets for the film. Stunt director Action Sandhosh has designed action blocks for the drama.
Con City is bankrolled by Harish Durairaj under the production company Power House Pictures, in association with Prabha Premkumar under the production house Maali And Manvi Movie Makers, along with Arun Prajeeth Manoharan, Sidhu Nair, and Vijay M P for the production label Klout Studios. Netflix OTT platform has acquired the digital rights for the film.
On the work side, actor Arjun Das is expecting two releases in Love scripted by Balaji Mohan in which he has romanced actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Once More crafted by Vignesh Srikanth in which he has collaborated with actress Aditi Shankar. The Rasavathi actor is presently engaged in Kaithi 2 helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be associating with actor Karthi, Rolex directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be starring alongside actors Suriya & Vijay Sethupathi, and a Malayalam drama Torpedo scripted by Tharun Moorthy in which he will be performing with actor Fahadh Faasil.
On the other hand, actress Anna Ben is now busy shooting for her next Tamil venture Coimbatore Mappillaii helmed by Kishore Rajkumar in which she will be romancing actor Praveen Balu, two of her Malayalam movies Ennittu Avasanam directed by Emcy Joseph in which she will be joining forces with actor Arjun Ashokan, and Yakshi crafted by Karan Sunil in which she will be collaborating with actor Babil Khan.
