Actor Arjun Das had a release last year in the musical adventure children drama Kumki 2 filmed by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in lead roles. The Kaithi star is now enthusiastically anticipating the release of his upcoming movie Con City. Newbie director Harish Durairaj, who was a part of the directing team of Tourist Family, has written and helmed the film. Writers Ubasakan, Harihara Tamilselvan, Gokul Sugumaran, and Sudhir Muthu have helped shape the screenplay.
Actress Anna Ben of Kottukkaali fame has depicted the female lead role in the entertainer. The drama was predominantly shot in multiple zones in Chennai, Mangalore, and Mumbai. The makers had recently shared the title teaser and a single from the film on social media. They have now released the second single from the album.
Taking to his official X account, music director Sean Roldan himself shared a special poster along with a link to the second single ‘Naan Dhaan King’ from Con City and captioned it, “We know who is the new KING, so it’s time to say Naan Dhaan King. Singers Kelithee, Lalitha Sudha, and Sean Roldan have crooned the song. Lyricist Mohan Rajan has penned the lyrics of the number. The rap portion is written by Kelithee. The track is mixed and mastered by Aswin George John. Dance master Santhosh has choreographed dance moves for the number.
Music composer Sean Roldan has scored music for the movie. Already a song ‘Korean Family’ sung by Vangal Pulla Vicky, Sublahshini, and Leela in the lyrics of Mohan Rajan is out from the album. The title teaser of Con City had actor Arjun Das as an individual grappling with debt, who in a surreal fashion gets an electronic gadget that prints money, and it propels his family in to a state of chaos.
Ensemble cast of Con City also comprises actors Vadivukkarasi, Yogi Babu, Ponvannan, Ramesh Thilak, Radha Ravi, Arul Doss, VTV Ganesh, Thambi Ramaiah, Akhilan, Nanda Gopal, Dheepa Ramanujam, Imman Annachi, Shaji Chen, Baradwaj Rangan, Ragu Esaki, Sathanand, and Madhan Kumar Dhakshinamoorthy.
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has cranked the camera for the drama. Editor Arul Moses A has been hired to work on the editing division of the movie. Art director Suren G has engineered the background for the entertainer. Stunt master Action Sandhosh has choreographed action blocks for the project.
Con City is funded by Harish Durairaj under the banner house Power House Pictures, in partnership with Prabha Premkumar under the production banner Maali And Manvi Movie Makers, in collaboration with Sidhu Nair, Arun Prajeeth Manoharan, and Vijay M P for the production company Klout Studios. The digital rights of the movie has been bought by Netflix OTT platform.
On the professional front, actor Arjun Das has a pipeline of back-to-back releases in Love helmed by Balaji Mohan in which he has teamed up with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Once More directed by Vignesh Srikanth in which he has co-starred with actress Aditi Shankar. The Bomb actor is now working on his next venture Kaithi 2 filmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will rejoin actor Karthi, Rolex crafted by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be associating with actors Suriya & Vijay Sethupathi, and a Malayalam flick Torpedo helmed by Tharun Moorthy in which he will be seen alongside actor Fahadh Faasil.
On the other hand, actress Anna Ben is currently occupied in her next Tamil film Coimbatore Mappillaii scripted by Kishore Rajkumar in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Praveen Balu, a couple of her Malayalam entertainers Ennittu Avasanam crafted by Emcy Joseph in which she will be featuring with actor Arjun Ashokan, and Yakshi directed by Karan Sunil in which she will be teaming up with actor Babil Khan.
