Actor G V Prakash Kumar recently had a release in the digital space via the children’s comedy movie Lucky The Superstar crafted by Uday Mahesh with actress Anaswara Rajan in the female lead role. The Rebel actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming romantic film christened Mental Manadhil. Director Selvaraghavan, who was focused on his acting career for a while, has come back to the director’s chair for this movie. The story credit is also attributed to him.
Actress Madhuri Jain of Sivakumarin Sabadham fame will be seen in the female lead part in the venture. The production house is eyeing to bring the film to theaters in the summer of this year. An official release date is expected to be announced soon. Recently, actor G V Prakash Kumar had promised fans that the album will be a musical treat. The makers have now dropped the first single from the drama on social media.
Taking to their official X account, team of Saregama South shared a small clip of the first single ‘Uyire Uyire’ from Mental Manadhil and captioned it, “The Soulful Melody Uyire Uyire Song From Mental Manadhil is Streaming Now on All Platforms! Singer Kapil Kapilan has lent his voice for the track. Story teller Selvaraghavan himself has written lyrics for the number. The song is mixed and mastered by Jehovahson Alghar. Dance master Kalyan has choreographed dance moves for the number. The four minute lyric video of ‘Uyire Uyire’ has the actor developing feelings for Madhuri Jain and gives us glimpses of their budding relationship.
Actor G V Prakash Kumar has also taken care of the musical division of the flick. Musician G V Prakash Kumar and auteur Selvaraghavan have regaled audiences with sensational songs in their previous collaborations in Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna. Mental Manadhil marks actor G V Prakash Kumar’s maiden project as an actor in Selvaraghavan’s directorial. Interestingly, the title ‘Mental Manadhil’ is the opening lyric of A R Rahman’s popular song from O Kadhal Kanmani.
Beside G V Prakash Kumar and Madhuri Jain, the casting unit of Mental Manadhil also has actors Arunachaleshwaran, Mathew Varghese, Monisha Mohan Menon, Thejank, and Vidyullekha Raman in various supporting characters. Cinematographer Arun Radhakrishnan has overseen the cinematography department of the entertainer.
Editor Balaji has been hired to bring coherence to the flick. Art director R K Vijay Murugan has designed sets for the drama. Action master Dinesh Kasi has choreographed action blocks for the project. Mental Manadhil is backed by G V Prakash Kumar himself under the banner house Parallel Universe Pictures.
On the professional side, actor G V Prakash Kumar will next be seen on screens in Immortal helmed by Mariyappan Chinna in which he has associated with actress Kayadu Lohar, 13 filmed by Vivek K Kannan in which he has teamed up with actresses Aadya Prasad & Bhavya Trikha, Happy Raj directed by Maria Raja Elanchezian in which he has featured alongside actress Sri Gouri Priya, and Adangathey crafted by Shanmugam Muthuswamy in which he has costarred with actress Surbhi Chandra.
The Blackmail actor is now engaged in his next flick Kadhalikka Yarumillai scripted by Kamal Prakash in which he will be joining forces with actress Raiza Wilson, and Idi Muzhakkam helmed by Seenu Ramasamy in which he will be starring with actress Gayathrie.
