Actor Rio Raj had his last outing in the romantic comedy film Aan Paavam Pollathathu which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Kalaiarasan Thangavel with actress Malavika Manoj as female lead. The Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja actor is currently busy shooting for his next romantic drama christened Ram In Leela. Debutant director Ramachandrran Kannan, who crafted the short film Pinju Ullam, is directing the movie. He has co-written the film with writer Aakash Poojith.
Actress Vartika Jain, who has starred in an English short Welcome To Celibacy Club, will be making her debut in Kollywood with her female lead role in the film. Malayalam actress Nayana Elza will also open her account in Tamil cinema with a prominent role in the entertainer.
The project recently went on floors with a small pooja ceremony in Chennai. Actor Vijay Sethupathi graced the pooja ceremony event and provided the first clap for the movie. Now we have news that the first schedule of shoot for the drama has been completed. The production house themselves has announced the news on social media.

The video also gives us a glimpse of the fun moments the team had while shooting, and them playing foosball during their breaks. Earlier a poster released by the production team had actor Rio Raj seated on top of a car with a black eye. While another poster had the actor midair from a sofa while Vartika Jain remains seated enjoying her popcorn. By the looks of the posters, the movie has tinges of the stars’ previous projects Sweetheart and Aan Paavam Pollathathu which explored nuances in a relationship.
Apart from Rio, Vartika Jain, and Nayana Elza, the casting unit of Ram In Leela also has actors Balaji Thiyagaraajan Dayalan, Munishkanth, Chetan, Ma Ka Pa, Priyanka Nair, Malavika Mohan, Thaafiya Abu, Kannan, Super Subbarayan, Adhiyaman, Nagaichuvaigal Vetri, and Kavinn essaying various supporting characters. Malayalam music composer Ankit Menon has been roped in to handle musical instruments for the entertainer.
Cinematographer Mallika Arjun is overseeing the cinematography department of the movie. Editor YNC Shiva has been brought on board to bring coherence to the flick. Art director G Durairaj is designing the background for the drama. Stunt director Abishek Srinivas is choreographing action moves for the venture. Ram In Leela is produced by R Ravindran under the production company Trident Arts in association with Sudharsan for the production label EYWA Entertainment.
On the work side, actress Nayana Elza is presently shooting for her future Malayalam entertainer Qurbaani filmed by director V Geo in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Shane Nigam, Christopher Columbus helmed by Prasanth Sasi in which she will be seen alongside actor Govind Padmasoorya, and At – Welcome To The Dark Side scripted by story teller Don Max in which she will be teaming up with actors Shaju Sreedhar, Akash Sen, and Rachel David.
