Director and actor Pradeep Ranganathan lastly entertained audiences in the coming-of-age comedy film Dragon directed by Ashwath Marimuthu with actresses Kayadu Lohar and Anupama Parameswaran as female leads. The Love Today star is currently busy shooting for his upcoming flick. Debutant director Keerthiswaran, erstwhile assistance of story teller Sudha Kongara, is set to make his debut as a filmmaker with this venture. He has also written the story of the drama. Actress Mamitha Baiju of Rebel fame has been cast against the actor in the flick. The makers have announced that the flick will be released in theaters worldwide as a festive release on Diwali of this year in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The project went on floors with a small pooja ceremony with the working title PR 04. We now have news that the entertainer has been titled Dude. The production house themselves has announced the news on social media. In the poster shared by the actor he is seen with bruises on his face holding a wedding necklace in his clenched fist. One minute odd first look teaser clip shows few behind the scene shots and moments from the pooja ceremony. Apart from Pradeep Ranganathan, and Mamitha Baiju, the casting crew of the drama also has actors Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini Molleti, and Youtuber Dravid Selvam depicting various supporting roles.
The musical department of the film has been handed over to music director Sai Abhyankkar. A background score named ‘Blud is on his way’ is already out from the album. Cinematographer Niketh Bommi will be handling camera gears for the project. Editor Barath Vikraman has been handed the editing responsibilities. Art director Selva Kumar will be designing sets for the entertainer. Action director Vicky will be choreographing action blocks for the movie. The venture is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under their production banner Mythri Movie Makers. The entertainer is set to premiere on Netflix OTT platform post its theatrical release.
On the work front, actor Pradeep Ranganathan is eagerly awaiting the release of his next film Love Insurance Kompany filmed by director Vignesh Shivan in which he has shared screen space with actresses Krithi Shetty of The Warriorr fame, and Gouri G Kishan of 96 fame.
