First Glimpse Of Dhanush’s Next Project Is Out!

Actor Dhanush K Raja lastly entertained audiences in the heist action thriller film Kara directed by Vignesh Raja with actress Mamitha Baiju in the female lead role. The Idli Kadai actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming action crime thriller movie titled OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. Director Rajkumar Periasamy, who garnered the attention of audiences with his impressive work in Rangoon and Amaran, has written and helmed the flick. 

Actress Sai Pallavi has been cast in the female lead role in the entertainer. This is her second project with actor Dhanush after their successful outing in Maari 2. The venture was shot in several regions in Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Dubai. OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood is poised to hit screens worldwide on 16th of October in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Meanwhile, they have now released the first promo of the flick on social media. 

Taking to their official X profile, the team of Wunderbar Films dropped the first glimpse of OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood and captioned it, “His arrival spells pure fire. Presenting the FIRST STRIKE – ‘D55’ is OM. Dhanush K Raja, Mammooty, Rajkumar Periasamy, Wunderbar Films, R Take Studios, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Sai Abhyankkar, Shraddha Agrawal, Azmat Jagmag, Sreyas Srinivasan, Sandesh Agrawal, Vishu Ramaswamy, Ezhil Arasu K, R Kalaivanan, Kavya Sriram, Sivam C Kabilan, Rajeevan Nambiar, Manoj Maddy, RIAZ K Ahmed, Paras Riyaz, AIM Pro.” Here is the post made by the production house. 

Two minutes odd first glimpse of OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood opens to a dark setting and pans to a group of tree-felling crew walking in a dense forest amidst a downpour carrying their axes. They are apprehended by the police. The shot cuts to a cop asking via a walkie-talkie, “Ramaiah, how many gun men are on our side?” He responds, “5, sir.” The policemen line up the tree-felling crew and take aim. 

Suddenly, they hear the sound. An axe flies in and gets lodged into a freshly cut log nearby. Someone from the detained crew shouts, “Arunachaleswar.” His fellow companions chant, “Praise be to Arunachaleswar.” We then have the intro of actor Dhanush, who thrashes the gunmen and saves the crew. The title teaser ends with the star pulling off a chic pose holding a rifle in his hand. 

Apart from Dhanush and Sai Pallavi, the star cast of the film also has Malayalam superstar Mammootty, Telugu actress Sreeleela, Indrans, and Chaitu Jonnalagadda portraying various supporting roles. Music director Sai Abhyankkar has been hired to work on the musical division of the flick. Cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K has been behind camera for the entertainer. 

The editing department of the flick has been handed over to editor R Kalaivanan. Art director Soolai Anbu has fashioned sets for the project. Stunt master Yannick Ben has designed action moves for the venture. The movie is bankrolled by Dhanush K Raja himself along with Sreyas Srinivasan under his home production Wunderbar Films, in association with Shraddha Agrawal, Sandesh Agrawal, and Azmat Jagmag for the banner house RTake Studios. 

On the work front, actor Dhanush K Raja has a series of projects in his pipeline via D 56 created by Mari Selvaraj, Kalam: The Missile Man Of India directed by Om Raut, Ilaiyaraaja helmed by Arun Matheswaran, Aayirathil Oruvan 2 scripted by Selvaraghavan, Pudhupettai 2 also crafted by Selvaraghavan, and two of his untitled films under the directorial of Nelson Dilipkumar & H Vinoth in pre-production phase. 

On the other hand, actress Sai Pallavi will next have a release in Bollywood in Ramayana filmed by Nitesh Tiwari in which she has starred with actors Ranbir Kapoor & Yash. The Gargi actress is now engaged in two of her next untitled Tamil dramas directed by Mani Ratnam in which she will be romancing actor Vijay Sethupathi, another untitled venture filmed and headlined by Pradeep Ranganathan with actors Prabhu Deva & Yogi babu in lead roles, and a Malayalam flick Thaaram scripted by Vinay Govind in which she will be collaborating with actors Nivin Pauly & Kayadu Lohar.
