The D Block actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming social drama Arulvaan. Director Ganesh Vinayakan, who previously helmed actor Arulnithi Tamilarasu in Thagaraaru, has written and directed the entertainer.
Actress Ramya Pandian of Joker fame has portrayed the female lead role in the movie. The shoot for the entertainer took place predominantly in the mountainous regions and off the map villages in Theni district. The production house has already announced that the movie will be releasing in theaters on 17th of July. Meanwhile, they have now unveiled the trailer of the project on social media.
Taking to his official X profile, actor Suriya dropped a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Arulvaan and captioned it, “Happy to share the trailer of Arulvaan. Wishing the film & its team great success. Arulvaan from July 17. Arulnithi Tamilarasu, Aarav Kizar, Ramya Pandian, G V Prakash Kumar, M Sukumar, Sakthi Film Factory.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The nearly two minute trailer of Arulvaan opens to a girl asking her father, “Dad, what kind of work do they do?” He responds, “They are not going to work, dear. They are going to school.” The girl says, “I wish to study as well, Dad.” She then asks her mother, “Why did not any of you study, ma?” She responds, “Girls of our clan are waiting for the forest sprite to bring us education. You may join the wait too.”
In a scene the girl’s grandfather advises her, “You must study dear. If all of you studied, your education could reclaim what we lost.” She tells him, “Do not be upset grandpa. I promise to study.” Following which the girl meets with an accident. Then a character informs the collector (Arulnithi Tamilarasu), “A teacher from a neighboring village told her that a collector could make her study. She left her community, believing in that promise.”
Subsequently, actress Ramya Pandian tells Arulnithi Tamilarasu, “Even if one person in our clan was educated, we would not be facing exile from our own land.” Then actor Arulnithi Tamilarasu expresses his guilt, “The education you and I received is not available to them. It haunts me.” Following which we have a scene where someone asks, “Leaving their ancestral gods and land behind, where are they supposed to go?”
In a shot the girl tells Arulnithi Tamilarasu, “Sir, I came down from the hills with hope. I want that hope fulfilled when I return to the hills.” The trailer ends with actor Arulnithi Tamilarasu mouthing, “This forest belongs to you. No matter what problems you face. I will be there for you.”
Apart from Arulnithi Tamilarasu and Ramya Pandian, the casting crew of the flick also has actors Aarav Kizar, Kaali Venkat, John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, and Baby Krithika playing various supporting roles. The musical division of the drama has been handed over to music composer G V Prakash Kumar. Cinematographer M Sukumar has been behind camera for the drama.
