‘Hangova’ From Lokesh Kanagaraj’s DC Is Here!
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj shot to fame in a short period and even popularized the term ‘Lokesh Kanagaraj universe.’ The Maanagaram director has previously made cameo appearances in Master and Singapore Saloon. He will soon be making his debut as a lead hero in the upcoming action thriller film titled DC. He has portrayed a character called Devadas in the entertainer.
Director Arun Matheswaran, who has earned fans with his craft in Rocky & Saani Kaayidham, has written and helmed the entertainer. Writer Arun Ranjan has shaped the movie’s screenplay. Writer Franklin Jacob has helped write the film’s dialogue. Actress Wamiqa Gabbi of Modern Love Chennai fame has essayed a role named Chandra in the drama. The production house had earlier dropped the trailer of the flick on social media. They have now shared a single from the album.
Taking to their official X profile, the production team of Sun pictures released a small clip along with a link to the song Hangova from DC and wrote, “Get lost in the Hangova with Devadas x Chandra x Parvathi. DC Watch Hangova music video. Lokesh Kanagaraj, Arun Matheswaran, Anirudh Ravichander, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjana, Mukesh G, Prasanna G K, Kannan S, Prabhu C, Sivam C Kabilan, Kuchirayar.” Here is the post made by the production house.
Music director Anirudh Ravichander has handled musical gear for the drama. He has also lent his voice for the number. Lyricist Heisenberg has penned lyrics for the song. The track is mixed by Vinay Sridhar, Srinivasan M, & Shivakiran S, and mastered by Rupendar Venkatesh. Already three soundtracks ‘Aint Nobody’ sung by Anirudh Ravichander & Ram Kumar in the lyrics of Heisenberg, ‘Bloody Valentine’, and ‘Raga Of Revenge’ crooned by Faraz, are out from the album.
The trailer of the film, which released earlier, retained Arun Matheswaran’s violent aura, following two lost souls as they seek solace in each other in a ruptured world. Apart from Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi, the star cast of the drama also has actors Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Guru Somasundaram, Avinash Raghudevan, Jawahar Sakthi, Sharath Ravi, Parvathi, and Kobisan Chandrakumar depicting various supporting characters.
Cinematographer Mukesh G has overseen the cinematography department of the venture. Editor G K Prasanna has been trusted with the editing division of the entertainer. Art director Kannan S has designed the background for the flick. Action master Prabhu C has fashioned action moves for the film. The entertainer is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his production banner Sun Pictures.
On the professional front, story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj is presently engaged in his next directorial venture tentatively christened AA 23 which will be headlined by actors Allu Arjun & Shraddha Kapoor. He has also conceptualized, and is backing a movie that is set in his universe christened Benz helmed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan with actors Raghava Lawrence, Jayam Ravi, Nivin Pauly, and Samyuktha in lead roles.
On the other hand, actress Wamiqa Gabbi is awaiting releases across industries, in Tamil via Genie created by Bhuvanesh Arjunan in which she has joined forces actors Ravi Mohan, Krithi Shetty, & Kalyani Priyadarshan, Iravaakaalam helmed by Ashwin Saravanan in which she has featured with actors Sharath Ravi & Sshivada, in Malayalam via Tiki Taka crafted by V S Rohith in which she has costarred with actors Asif Ali & Kalyani Priyadarshan, and in Hindi via Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story scripted by Avinash Arun in which she has collaborated with actor Rajkummar Rao. The actress is currently occupied in her Telugu movie G2 directed by Vinay Kumar Goodachari in which she will be romancing actor Adivi Sesh, and a Hindi film Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling scripted by Vikas Bahl in which she will be teaming up with actor Siddhant Chaturvedi.
