Vijay Antony is a multi-talented artist of Tamil cinema who started off as a musician, and metamorphosed into an actor, producer, editor, director, and a writer. The Thimiru Pudichavan star was last seen on screens in the action thriller drama Tamilarasan which hit the theaters under the direction of Babu Yogeswaran with actress Remya Nambeesan as the female lead. The venture did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Thus, failed to draw footfalls to the theaters. The actor has now put that behind him, and is currently getting ready for the release of his next movie titled Pichaikkaran 2. Beside playing the lead, Vijay Antony has also penned and directed the entertainer. Actress Kavya Thapar has depicted the female lead part. The movie which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a long ago is now done and dusted ready for release.
The production unit has now unveiled an item track ‘Nana Buluku’ from the drama on social media. Actor Vijay Antony himself has shared the number. Actress Shivangi Varma has performed for the number. Singer Kharesma Ravichandran has crooned the song. Lyricist Arun Bharathi has penned the lyrics. The hot item number has massive likeness to the superhit item song ‘Mascara’ from Salim. Pichaikkaran 2 is all set to hit the theaters in languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi on 19th of May. The production house had recently released the trailer of the drama which reached over two million views in a short period. A term ‘Anti Bikili’ from the trailer piqued the interest of the audience. The first installment of Pichaikkaran was helmed by director Sasi which turned out to be a successful film in actor Vijay Antony’s career. Hence, anticipation on the second part has skyrocketed. There are reports that the rights of Pichaikkaran 2 have been sold for 15 crores which has further upped expectations.
