Music director turned actor Vijay Antony was last seen on screens in the action thriller drama Agni Siragugal which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Naveen with actor Arun Vijay as the antagonist. The entertainer was made with a huge budget. Unfortunately, the movie failed to live up to the expectations of the audience, and did a very bad business. But the actor has moved on, and is currently getting ready for the release of his next mass action flick titled Tamilarasan. Actress Remya Nambeesan has played the female lead role in the venture. Director Babu Yogeswaran has penned and directed the drama. The project which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a while back has now been wrapped, and is in the post production.
Now, the production company has shared the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to their official twitter account, the production house shared the trailer, and wrote, “It’s time for the ultimate battle with the warrior on fire. The official trailer of Tamilarasan. The nearly two minutes trailer opens to a wide angle shot of a seaside boardwalk with actor Vijay Antony’s voiceover saying, “God will never play with humans. Only humans will play with humans.” In the visuals we are introduced to a well-groomed Vijay Antony on a Royal Enfield bullet. We get a glimpse of his personal life, his beloved family which is made of his wife Ramya Nambeesan, and his kid. We see the happier facet of them. Then things turn serious. From the trailer we can comprehend that actor Vijay Antony has taken a hospital under his control, and the people inside it as hostages. We witnessed the state’s police department trying to handle the situation.
Apart from actors Vijay Antony, and Ramya Nambeesan, Tamilarasan has master Pranav, son of director Mohan Raja making his debut as a child artist. The casting of the flick has actors Suresh Gopi, Sonu Sood, Munishkanth, Chaya Singh, Sangeetha Krish, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Pandiarajan, Radha Ravi, and Kasthuri in various other supporting roles. The music for the drama has been composed by music director Ilaiyaraaja. The cinematography for the venture has been done by cinematographer R D Rajasekhar. Editors A L Ramesh and Bhuvan Srinivasan have edited the movie. Stuntman Anal Arasu has choreographed the action moves for the entertainer. Art director Milan has designed the background for the film. The project is bankrolled by S Kowsalya Rani under the banner house SNS Production Company.
On the work front, actor Vijay Antony who had his last outing in the action thriller Agni Siragugal is currently busy shooting for the sequel of his blockbuster film Pichaikkaran under his own direction, and for Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan which is directed by Vijay Milton. Besides these ventures, the actor has Kolai crafted by Balaji K Kumar in which he has shared the screen space with actress Ritika Singh, Ratham filmed by C S Amudhan in which he has collaborated with actresses Ramya Nambeesan, Nandita Swetha, and Mahima Nambiar, Valli Mayil helmed by Suseenthiran in which he has romanced actress Faria Abdullah, and Khaki helmed by A. Senthil Kumar in various stages of post-production getting refined for release. On the other hand, the actress who was last seen on screens in Tamil in My Dear Bootham is currently busy shooting for her next project titled Ranger directed by Dharani Dharan in which she will be seen alongside actor Sibiraj, and for Bagheera helmed by Adhik Ravichandran in which she has been paired up with actor Prabhu Deva.
