Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has a huge craze among youngsters in the state. The Natpe Thunai actor was last seen on screens in Anbarivu which hit the theaters under the direction of filmmaker Aswin Raam with actresses Kashmira Pardeshi, and Shivani Rajashekar in the female lead roles. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews. Hence, had a poor reception among the audience. The actor has now moved on, and is currently getting ready for the release of his upcoming movie titled Veeran. Director A R K Saravanan of Maragadha Naanayam fame has penned and directed the movie. The project which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony some time ago, is now wrapped and is in the post production stage getting refined for release.
The production unit has now announced the release date of the venture on social media. Veeran is all set to hit the theaters on 2nd of June this year. Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi himself has shared the news. Taking to his official twitter handle, the actor dropped a poster from the drama, and wrote, “We bring you the “Tamil super hero story” Veeran releasing on June 2nd in theaters worldwide. In the poster shared by the actor, he is seen in a black and red attire styled as a vintage warrior of sorts standing in front of a majestic black stallion. Veeran is said to be a fantasy thriller drama. The first look poster of the film had vivid likeness to superhit Malayalam fantasy movie Minnal Murali helmed by Basil Joseph with actors Tovino Thomas and Femina George in the lead roles. The poster had sparked speculations that the flick is a remake of Minnal Murali. But the production house has denied the rumors. The teaser of the entertainer is expected to be released next week.
Hiphop Tamizha Adhi is probably one of a very small circle of artists to have a PhD to their name. He rose to fame with his controversial single ‘Club le Mabbu le’ after singing it at a popular radio station. Criticism was thrown at him from all directions condemning the nature of the song. The musician turned actor expressed his regrets for writing up the song after many years in an interview. Then came the Jallikattu controversy that drew him into the political arena and he had to face a lot of political heat. But the musician and actor ducked the political bullets fired at him and carried on with his work in the entertainment industry. The actor has not had a solid commercial success in a while. Apart from actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Veeran has Malayalam actress Athira Raj who became popular for her part in the viral short film ‘Ethazhakaanu Nee’ essaying the female lead role. The casting department of the drama has actors Vinay Rai, Munishkanth, Kali Venkat, Sassi Selvaraj, Jeeva, Sadhana, and Muruganandham in various other supporting roles. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi himself has composed music for the venture. Cinematographer Deepak D Menon has been behind the lens for the movie. Editor Prasanna G K has been brought on board to trim the flick. Art director Rahul N K has erected sets for the project. The entertainer is produced by T G Thyagarajan along with Senthil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the production company Sathya Jyothi Films.
On the work front, actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi who had his last outing in the likes of the family drama Anbarivu is currently busy shooting for his next project christened PT Sir under the direction of story teller Karthik Venugopal in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Kashmira Pardeshi.
