Actor Rajinikanth had his last outing in the likes of the mass action drama Annaaththe which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Siruthai Siva with actress Nayanthara in the female lead part. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience. As a result, it had a tepid response at the box office. The Baashha actor has now put that behind, and is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie christened Lal Salaam. His daughter Aishwarya has written the script, and is directing the movie. Actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth will be depicting lead roles in the film. The drama went on floors with a small pooja ceremony earlier this year. Now, we have an interesting update on the project.
The production house has now unveiled the first look poster of the venture on social media. Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth herself has shared the poster. Taking to her official twitter account, she dropped the first look poster of Lal Salaam, and wrote, “Honored and blessed appa! Actor Rajinikanth will be seen in a character named Moideen Bhai. In the poster, actor Rajinikanth is seen donning a Jubba with a red kufi cap. Lal Salaam is touted to be a sports drama based on cricket. Interestingly actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are popular for their part in the celebrity premier league. The first schedule of the shoot has been wrapped. Some health issues kept actor Rajinikanth away from the sets of Lal Salaam. The actor has recuperated, and is ready to shoot for the flick. The actor has reached Mumbai for the second schedule of shoot which is set to begin next week. The production house has plans to release Lal Salaam as a pan Indian entertainer in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
Apart from actors Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, and Vikranth, the casting department of the flick has actors Senthil, Tiger Thangadurai, Thambi Ramaiah, and Jeevitha Rajashekar portraying various other supporting parts. Music director A R Rahman has been roped in to score music for the drama. Cinematographer Vishnu Ramasamy has been cranking cameras for the project. Editor B Pravin Baaskar has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the entertainer. Art director Ramu Thangaraj has been designing the background for the drama. The movie is bankrolled by A Subaskaran under his home banner Lyca Productions.

On the other hand, actor Vishnu Vishal who was last seen on screens in the sports drama Gatta Kusthi will next be seen on screens in the crime thriller christened Mohan Das directed by storyteller Murali Karthick in which he has shared screen space with actress Aishwarya Rajesh, and Idam Porul Eval crafted by director Seenu Ramasamy in which he will be seen alongside actor Vijay Sethupathi. The Silukkuvarupatti Singam actor is currently busy shooting for his next movie Aaryan which is crafted by Praveen K in which he will be co starring with actors Shraddha Srinath, Vani Bhojan, and Selvaraghavan. Following which he will begin to shoot for a couple of sequels of his superhit projects Ratsasan which is set to be helmed by director Ram Kumar, and for the sequel of his science fiction flick Indru Netru Naalai scripted by S P Karthi. Apart from these projects, the actor has his long-delayed entertainer Veera Dheera Sooran which is filmed by Shankar Dayal in the box waiting to see the light of day.
