Actor Arun Vijay is having a great time in the Tamil cinema industry with handful of projects like never before in his career. The actor was last seen on screens in the mass action flick Saaho which hit the theaters as a multi lingual project. Now, it is a known news that the actor has teamed up with the Young and talented story teller Karthick Naren who garnered the attention of Tamil cinema audience in his very first directorial venture Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, for a project which is titled as Mafia. Ever since the project went on floors the buzz around the venture is too high and one of the reasons for the hype was that it was announced to be a trilogy project. Now, to add to the buzz the production unit has unveiled the teaser of the flick on social media.
Recently, super star Rajinikanth who had enjoyed the special screening of the teaser of Mafia showered praises on the young film maker and his words “Brilliant work Kanna. Semaya irukku. Loved it” to Karthick Naren was all over the headlines of the cinema column. Now, the teaser of the entertainer is out for all on the social media! Controversial story teller A. R. Murugadoss has launched the teaser of the crime drama on social media. Taking to his official twitter handle, the director shared the teaser and wrote, ‘Here is the much anticipated teaser of Mafia. Good to see young talents coming up with unique concepts, wish the team all the very best.’
The teaser once gain reaffirms the talent and command of the youngster in the craft of film making. The teaser is quite fresh, stylish, captivating and something that is totally new to Tamil cinema audience. The teaser has a theme which is of a lion (Arun Vijay) up against a Fox (Prasanna). Each one speaks of their strengths and their opponent’s weakness. The few seconds cut promises to be a stylish feast. Earlier speaking about the venture, the story teller had stated, “Mafia is an out and out gangster saga. All I can say for now is that Mafia will not be a regular potboiler North Chennai gangster story that Tamil cinema audience is used to. Mafia will be an intensely gripping drama set in the backdrop of Chennai.”
Besides actor Arun Vijay, the casting department of the movie has Priya Bhavani Shankar and Prasanna in pivotal roles. The motion picture is bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. Musician Jakes Bejoy will be scoring the music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Gokul Benoy has been behind the lens for the film, while editor Sreejith Sarang will be trimming the flick.
On the professional front, actor Arun Vijay is currently busy shooting for an untitled project under the direction of story teller GNR Kumaravelan. Besides this entertainer the actor has the sports drama Boxer which is directed by Vivek and his project with musician turned actor Vijay Antony titled Agni Siragugal helmed by Naveen of Moodar Koodam fame, getting shaped up in the post production stage for release.
