Viruman Trailer: Karthi’s Film Is A Typical Rural Drama!

Actor Karthi has a knack for maintaining his image of a commercial hero. He constantly switches between playing a rural and urban character. The Naan Mahaan Alla actor was last seen on screen in the action drama Sulthan which hit the theaters under the direction of story teller Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which he had collaborated with actress Rashmika Mandanna. The entertainer opened up to negative reviews, and as a result did not fare in the box office as expected. But the actor has moved on, and is now getting ready for the release of his next flick titled Viruman. Director M. Muthaiah of Pulikkutti Pandi fame has helmed the drama. Director Shankar’s daughter actress Aditi Shankar is set to make her debut as a lead heroine in the movie. Now, we have some interesting news about the drama. 

The production house has released the trailer of the flick along with the release date of the film on social media. Viruman is all set to hit the screens on 12th of August. Actor and producer Suriya has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared the trailer of the drama, and wrote, “Adi dhool Viruma. Viruman in theaters from August 12.” Here is the trailer shared by the actor. 

The couple of minutes cut, opens with a mother (played by Saranya Ponvannan) and son sitting in front of a deity. The mother tells her son, “Whenever I am happy or sad, I will come and sit beside the legs of the deity.” Then we have the introduction of actor Karthi, who is seen trashing a henchman to the ground. Following it we have a voiceover of Saranya Ponvannan saying, “You should always be like the sun that brings light to people.” The two minute cut gives us a glimpse of the complete atmosphere of the movie. There is sentiment, romance, action, and comedy. Throughout the trailer the actor comes around throwing punch dialogues and performing gravity defying stunt sequences. The trailer promises a typical rural drama. It is sure to elevate the expectations among the fans of the rural drama. 

Apart from actors Karthi and Aditi Shankar, Viruman has actors Rajkiran, Ilavarasu, Prakash Raj, Soori, Karunas, Vadivukkarasi, Saranya Ponvannan, Singampuli, R. K. Suresh, Vasumithra, Manoj Bharathiraja, Rajkumar, Indraja, Arundhati, O. A. K. Sundar, Aruldoss, Myna Nandini, and Indhumathi play various other supporting roles. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has handled the musical instruments of the movie. Cinematographer Selvakumar S. K has been behind the camera for the flick. Editor Venkat Raajen has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the flick. The project is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyothika under the production house 2D Entertainment. The venture is distributed by Sakthi Film Factory owned by B. Sakthivelan. 

On the work front, actor Karthi who was last seen on screens in Sulthan is gearing up for a successive release in the likes of Sardar helmed by filmmaker P. S. Mithran in which he has co starred with actress Raashi Khanna, and the epic historical flick Ponniyin Selvan directed by auteur Mani Ratnam in which he has portrayed the role of Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan. Apart from these ventures, the actor has his long-delayed drama Party which is filmed by storyteller Venkat Prabhu in the shelve awaiting release.
