Actor Vijay Sethupathi last graced the silver screen in the romantic action-comedy Thalaivan Thalaivii scripted by Pandiraj with Malayalam actress Nithya Menen as female lead. Actor Arvind Swamy lastly entertained audiences in Tamil in Meiyazhagan directed by Prem Kumar with actors Karthi and Sri Divya in lead roles. Both the stars are now getting ready for the release of their silent film Gandhi Talks. Bollywood film maker Kishor Pandurang Belekar has penned and crafted the project.
Actress Aditi Rao Hydari of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam fame has portrayed the female lead part in the venture. The shoot for the film took place in various regions of Mumbai. Gandhi Talks is poised to hit screens worldwide on 30th of January. The production house has been promoting the drama by doing interviews, releasing singles and teasers of the movie on social media. They have now dropped the trailer of the flick.
Taking to his official X account, actor Vijay Sethupathi himself shared a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Gandhi Talks and wrote, “Not every story needs words. Two minute trailer of Gandhi Talks opens with a melancholic background score to actor Vijay Sethupathi in a slum carrying his geriatric mother. The shot cuts to him feeding her inside a small house. The shot moves to actor Arvind Swamy, a real estate developer enjoying the view of the city from his under construction high rise building. Both of their lives go off the rails. Suffering and grief ensue.
Star cast of Gandhi Talks also comprises actors Mahesh Manjrekar, Siddharth Jadhav, Bagavathi Perumal, Durgaprasad Mahapatra, Manali Chakravarty Aaina, Vanita Kharat, Nilesh Divekar, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Anshuman Mishra, and Shruti Puranik.
Music director A R Rahman has teamed up with actor Vijay Sethupathi for the second time after their successful album in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. A number ‘Milirum Oliye’ in the vocal of Mohammad Aslam, lyrics written by Krithika Nelson is already out from the album.
Cinematographer Karann B Rawat has handled camera gears for the venture. Editor Ashish Mhatre has been roped in to work on the editing department of the flick. Art director Santosh Panigrahi has fashioned the background for the film. Action director Punit Sain has choreographed action blocks for the movie.
Gandhi Talks is backed by Umesh Kumar Bansal & Gurpal Sachar under the production house Movie Mill Entertainment in association with Rajesh Kejriwal under the production banner Kyoorius in partnership with Meerra Chopraa under the production label Pincmoon Meta Studios along with Sanjeev Jaiswal for the banner house Zee Studios.
On the work side, actor Vijay Sethupathi is gearing up for successive release in Train crafted by Mysskin in which he has shared screen space with actress Shruthi Haasan, Pisasu 2 also directed by Mysskin in which he has costarred with actresses Andrea Jeremiah & Poorna, and his maiden Tamil web series Kaattaan filmed by M Manikandan in which he will be seen alongside actors Milind Soman & Balaji Shaktivel.
The Mumbaikar star is presently focused on his future movie Arasan directed by Vetri Maaran in which he will be collaborating with actor Silambarasan, and a pan Indian film Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road scripted by Telugu director Puri Jagannadh in which he will be performing alongside Bollywood actress Tabu and Kannada star Duniya Vijay. He also has a cameo role in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
