Actor Vemal had a release last month in Paramasivan Fathima scripted by Esakki Karvannan with actress Chaya Devi Kannan in the female lead role. The Kalavani actor will soon have yet another release in the comedy drama Desingu Raja 2. Story teller Ezhil, who directed the first installment has also written and helmed the second part.
Actress Pujita Ponnada of Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal fame has depicted the female lead role in the venture. Desingu Raja 2 will hit theaters worldwide on 11th of July. The production unit had recently shared the teaser of the film on social media. Now, they have launched the trailer of the entertainer.
Taking to his official X account, actor Soori dropped a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Desingu Raja 2 and wrote, “The wait is over! The trailer of Desingu Raja 2 is here – packed with comedy, chaos, and complete family entertainment! Watch it now and witness the fun explode on screen! Nearly two minutes long trailer of Desingu Raja 2 begins with the intro of actor Vemal given by a cop character, “Talking about mass, look he is giving a mass entry.” In the visuals we have actor Vemal in a dizzy state. Following which we have actor Singampuli reprimanding Vemal, “For this job, you can go and herd pigs elsewhere.” To which he retorts, “Yeah, go and herd them. Only then you will understand the pain involved in it.”
In a scene we see a cop warning someone, “Tell your good man to go into hiding. My bullet is searching for him.” In a subsequent shot we witness actor Vemal mouthing a punch dialogue, “Mavaeriya group or kivaeriya group, does not matter which group it is, does not matter where they are hiding. I will find and chop them into pieces and put them under your leg. Or else I am not Kulasekara Pandian sir.”
The casting team of Desingu Raja 2 also includes stars Redin Kingsley, Robo Shankar, Singampuli, Ravi Mariya, Cook With Comali fame Pugazh, Mottai Rajendran, Madurai Muthu, G Harshitha, Jana Nathan, Chaams, Vaiyapuri, Swaminathan, Vinoth, Jangiri Madhumitha, and Sumathi. Bollywood actress Sneha Gupta will shake her leg for an item song. Music director Vidyasagar has handled musical instruments for the movie. Already two tracks christened ‘Pidaari Kovil Thoppu’ and ‘Yaaru Petha’ are out from the album.
Cinematographer R Selva has shouldered camera for the entertainer. Editor K Ananda Linga Kumar has been trusted with the editing division of the flick. Art director V M Shivakumar has erected sets for the project. Stunt master Karthik Varman has designed action blocks for the venture. Desingu Raja 2 is produced by P Ravichandran under his home production Infinity Creations.
On the professional side, actor Vemal is currently busy with his future movie tentatively named Vemal 36 directed by Elson Eldhose & Maneesh K Thoppil, Manjal Kudai helmed by Sivam Rajamani in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Shirin Kanchwala, and Belladonna filmed by Santhosh Babu Muthusamy. Beside these projects, the Kanni Raasi actor has couple of his long-delayed dramas Sandakkari crafted by Madhesh in which he will be seen alongside actress Shriya Saran, Enga Pattan Sothu scripted by Sargunam in which he has partnered with actress Anicka Vikhraman, and Lucky directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj in the shelves awaiting release.
On the other hand, actress Pujita Ponnada is anticipating her next Tamil release in Bhagavan crafted by debutant Kalingan in which she has performed alongside actor Aari Arjunan, and in Telugu via an item track in the swashbuckler action flick Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 scripted by Krish Jagarlamudi with actors Pawan Kalyan, Nargis Fakhri, Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal in lead roles.
