The beautiful and gorgeous Kajal Aggarwal was last seen on screens in Tamil cinema in the film Mersal directed by Atlee which had thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. After which she has not had a single release in Tamil but has been busy in the Telugu film industry. The actress will next be seen on screens in the Tamil comedy entertainer Comali opposite dashing actor Jayam Ravi which is directed by debutant director Pradeep Ranganathan. The comedy film is slated to hit the theaters on 15th of August as an Independence Day release. Now, we have an interesting update on the actress next project.
It is a known news that the actress is playing the lead role in the Tamil remake of super hit Bollywood movie Queen which hit the screens under the directorial of Vikas Bahl starring Kangana Ranaut, Raj Kumar Rao and Lisa Haydon. The actress wrapped up the shooting of the movie few months ago and after post production works the entertainer was recently sent to the censor board for certification. Now we have reports coming in that the film is facing some issues with the censor board. According to a source close to the production unit, “The flick was recently sent to the censor board for certification and the censor board has order for a few cuts including a couple of audio as well as video cuts. There is also few blurs in couple of scenes so the team has sent the movie to the revising committee to resolve the censor issues. This has caused some delays in getting the drama censored.”
This makes the fans of the entertainer curious as the Malayalam version of the movie Zam Zam starring Manjima Mohan and the Kannada version Butterfly starring Parul Yadav had no sort of issues with the sensor board and was censored without any cuts. Guess we will have to wait for few more days to know what made the censor board to censor the flick. The actress has high hopes on the venture as much depends on the success of the project for the actress who has very few projects in hand.
The drama is directed by veteran actor and director Ramesh Aravind. Apart from actress Kajal Aggarwal, the casting of the movie has Elli Avram, Vinaya Prasad, Bhargavi Narayan, Varun Shashi Rao, Thirunavukkarasu and Samarth Ashok Hegde depicting various other supporting roles. The music for the entertainer is composed by Amit Trivedi. While cinematographer Satya Hegde was seen behind the lens for the project, editor Rajan Mohammed has trimmed the venture. The motion picture has been bankrolled by Manu Kumaran under the banner Mediente International Films Ltd. The comedy drama is expected to hit the screens soon.
On the work front, actress Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in to play the female lead role in the sequel of Indian that is set to be directed by story teller Shankar. Apart from this the actress has recently inked her signature for a web series which will be directed by director Venkat Prabhu.
