It seems age is just a number for Super Star Rajinikanth. He is currently shooting for the movie “Vettaiyan ” directed by T. J. Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame and bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The final leg of the shooting is currently underway at Hyderabad and Rajinikanth is all set to join the team from today. He left Hyderabad this morning. After this, he is all set to collaborate with Lokesh Kanagaraj for the next project tentatively titled “Thalaivar 171” Produced by Sun Pictures. The project is currently in the pre-production stage. It is also rumoured that he is again joining hands with Nelson for Jailer 2. But the official announcement is awaited.
Now the latest buzz is that Rajinikanth has signed a new project bankrolled by Ace Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The news was officially confirmed by Sajid Nadiadwala himself on the social media platform X. Sajid Nadiadwala has been producing movies in Bollywood since 1992 and has bankrolled several blockbusters over the years. The project marks the first outing for him in the Kollywood Industry. It seems Mari Selvaraj is expected to direct the movie. He has recently met Rajinikanth in his residence and narrated the script which the actor liked. The project is expected to go floors from mid-next year and is all set to hit screens for Pongal 2026.
Rajinikanth is 73 and is still going strong. His passion and commitment towards cinema is unmatchable and no wonder he remains No.1 in the industry for a very long time.
