Actor Taman Akshaan last graced the silver screens last year in the horror thriller Park which hit theaters under the direction of story teller E K Murugan with actress Swetha Dorathy in the female lead role. The Oru Nodi actor is now anticipating the release of his next horror thriller flick Jenma Natchathiram. The title of the film is taken from the 1991 horror drama of the same name.
Director B Manivarman, who previously worked with actor Taman Akshaan in Oru Nodi, has inked and crafted the movie. Bollywood actress Malvi Malhotra will be making her debut in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the drama. Actor Kaali Venkat has played an interesting role in the project. The makers are currently working to lock a date for release of the venture. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon.
Meanwhile, the production unit has now dropped the teaser of the movie on social media. Taking to their official X profile, the production team of Amoham Studios unveiled a short clip from the entertainer along with a link to the teaser of Jenma Natchathiram and captioned it, “It has arrived… and it sees everything. Dare to click… your next nightmare awaits. Jenma Natchathiram Teaser – OUT NOW! Watch it… if you dare. Teaser Link.” Here is the post made by the production unit.
One-minute teaser cut of Jenma Natchathiram opens with a note, ‘Even the most toxic plants require the purest water to thrive.’ Then we have the voiceover of actor Kaali Venkat, “There is 57 crores in a dilapidated mill on the way to Pondicherry. Take all the money for yourself.” We have another character responding, “57 crores? It is an amount that we cannot earn in our lifetime.”
The shot cuts to a dark eerie place to a voiceover, “Something is wrong. I think its best we leave this place.” We witness paranormal activities happen inside a derelict building. Then we have someone saying, “There is not a single penny in here. It looks like a haunted palace.” Subsequently we see someone informing, “There is a ritual happening there.” The teaser ends with a hound dog trying to ferociously pounce on something.
Earlier speaking to a popular YouTube channel, director B Manivarman said, “The classic horror drama ‘Jenma Natchathiram’ was the talk of the town when it was released. It provided a spinechilling cinematic experience to the audience. My film will also be on similar lines. I am sure aficionados of horror themes will have a great time.” Talking further he clarified, “We have just used the title of the old classic. This movie is a standalone project with a slight connection to the old one.”
Apart from Taman Akshaan, Malvi Malhotra, and Kaali Venkat, the star cast of Jenma Natchathiram also has actors Raksha Cherin, Maithreya, Arun Karthi, Sivam, Thalaivasal Vijay, Vela Rama Moorthy, Yasar, Munishkanth, and Santhana Bharathi portraying various supporting characters. Music director Sanjay Manickam has worked on the musical division of the flick. Cinematographer KG has taken care of the cinematography department of the drama. Editor S Guru Suriya has been brought on board to bring coherence to the entertainer.
Art director S J Ram has designed the background for the project. Action director Miracle Michael has choreographed action blocks for the venture. Jenma Natchathiram is bankrolled by K Subhashini under her home production Amoham Studios in association with G Azhagar and K G Ratheesh for the production house White Lamp Pictures. Raahul has acquired the theatrical rights of the venture, and will be bringing it to theaters worldwide under his banner house Romeo Pictures.
