It is a well known thing that story teller Siva and actor Ajith Kumar were inseparable for a long time as they teamed up back to back for commercial entertainers like Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam, and Viswasam. The combo was more than just a successful combo as the duo smashed many box office collection records through their flicks. Finally the duo has decided to part ways and the director is set to direct actor Suriya in his next project. Now we have updates regarding the technical team that will be working on the project.
The project is tentatively named as Suriya 39. Director Siva has already worked with Suriya’s brother Karthi in the mass action movie Siruthai which enjoyed a good commercial success. The motion picture was funded by K. Gnavelraja under the banner Studio Green. The same production house will also be bankrolling Suriya 39. Now we have details on the technical crew that will be part of the film. According to reports musician D. Imman has be roped in to compose the music for the movie. Ruben has been brought on board to take care of the editing department while the cinematography department has been handed over to Vetri. Master Dhilip Subbarayan will look after the stunt department of the flick. The interesting news about the crew is that it is the same unit that worked in Viswasam. The casting unit of the drama is expected to be announced soon.
The entertainer will mark the first time association of director Siva and Suriya which has naturally upped the expectation level on the project. Director Siva is fresh of the success that he tasted in Viswasam. But actor Suriya had a poor last outing with his political entertainer NGK which hit the screens amidst high expectations but failed to stand up to the expectations of the audience. It has been a long time since the actor delivered a solid hit under his name and he is desperately in need of a hit to reinstate his market. We will have to wait to see whether the winning ways of film maker Siva brings back the Aaru hero to the profitable zone.
On the work front, actor Suriya is currently gearing up for the release of his action drama Kaappaan directed by story teller K. V. Anand which is slated to hit the screens on 20th of September in which the actor has co starred with Malayalam super star Mohanlal and Arya. Apart from this flick the actor is currently busy shooting for the biographical drama titled as Soorarai Pottru under the directorial of Sudha Kongara of Irrudhi Suttru fame. The movie is also bankrolled by the actor himself under his home banner 2 D Entertainment partnering with Guneeth Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment.
