Actor Sivakarthikeyan is basking in the success of Amaran crafted by Rajkumar Periasamy with actress Sai Pallavi as female lead. His role as ‘Major Mukund Varadarajan’ has carved a lasting impression in the hearts of people. The Prince actor will soon have his next release in the action thriller Madharasi. Director A R Murugadoss has penciled and helmed the movie. Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth will be setting foot in Tamil cinema with her female lead part in the drama. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal of Thuppakki fame will be seen in negative shades. The shoot for the flick took place in and around the vicinities of Chennai, Pondicherry, and Thoothukudi. The production team has plans to release the venture in languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The entertainer is made with a whooping 200 crore budget.
The makers had earlier released a glimpse video from the entertainer on social media as a token to celebrate actor Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday. Now, they have officially announced the release date of the flick. Madharasi is all set to hit theaters on 5th of September this year. Taking to his official X account, music composer Anirudh Ravichander unveiled a special poster from the flick and worded, “Madharasi / Dil Madharasi IN CINEMAS WORLDWIDE SEPTEMBER 5th. The glimpse video which was released earlier this year had a tense setting with a series of bomb blasts with a bloodied Sivakarthikeyan beating up a few henchmen in a car factory. There are whispers in K-town that storyteller A R Murugadoss wrote the script of the drama with actor Vijay in mind. But the latter’s decision to enter politics propelled him to pick Sivakarthikeyan for the project. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, Vidyut Jammwal, and Rukmini Vasanth, the ensemble cast of the film also has actors Vikranth, Biju Menon, Prem Kumar, Yaseetharan Ratnakumar, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Sanjay and Sachana Namidass playing various supporting roles.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has been brought on board to work on the musical division of the drama. The venture will be his third collaboration with story teller A R Murugadoss following their successful outings in Kaththi and Darbar. Cinematographer Sudeep Elamon has been behind camera for the movie. Editor A Sreekar Prasad has been roped in to oversee the editing department of the project. Art director Shanmugaraja has engineered sets for the film. Stunt master Kevin Kumar has fashioned action moves for the venture. The drama is produced by N Srilakshmi Prasad under his production company Sri Lakshmi Movies. Actor Kamal Haasan is set to bring the film to theaters under his production label Raaj Kamal Films International.
On the professional front, actor Sivakarthikeyan is currently working on his next projects Parasakthi crafted by director Sudha Kongara in which he will be performing alongside actors Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa, & Sreeleela, and a venture tentatively titled SK 26 which is helmed by story teller Vinayak Chandrasekaran of Good Night fame. On the other hand, actress Rukmini Vasanth is eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming Tamil entertainer Ace scripted by Arumuga Kumar in which she has romanced actor Vijay Sethupathi. The actress is presently busy shooting for her next Telugu flick tentatively christened NTR 31 filmed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame in which she will be collaborating with actor Jr NTR.
