Actor Soori has been on a roll ever since turning a lead hero in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai. He has been inking his signature left, right, and center for lead roles. The Kottukkaali actor was last seen on screens earlier this year in the comedy drama Badava which hit the screens under the direction of K V Nandha with actors Vemal and Shrita Rao in lead roles. The Garudan actor is now gearing up for the release of his next action entertainer christened Maaman. Storyteller Prasanth Pandiyaraj, who made his mark with Bruce Lee and crafted the popular web series Vilangu, has penciled and directed the film. Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi of Ponniyin Selvan fame has been paired with the actor for the first time. Veteran actor Rajkiran has depicted a pivotal part in the flick. The production unit has already announced that the drama will be released in theaters worldwide on 16th of May.
The makers have now released a making glimpse video on social media. Apart from Soori, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Rajkiran, the casting unit of the entertainer also has actors Jayaprakash, Swasika, Jayaprakash, Baba Bhaskar, Nikhila Shankar, Geetha Kailasam, and Viji Chandrasekhar playing various supporting roles. Music director Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed music for the flick. Cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman has shouldered camera for the drama. Editor Ganesh Siva has been brought on board to bring coherence to the movie. Art director R Kishore has erected sets for the project. Stunt director Action Sandhosh has designed action blocks for the film. The project is backed by K Kumar under his home production Lark Studios. Rasi Chidambaram has acquired the theatrical rights of the venture and will be distributing it under his production company Sri Kumaran Films.
On the professional front, actor Soori will soon have a release in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai helmed by director Ram in which he will be seen alongside actors Nivin Pauly and Anjali. The Viduthalai star is currently busy shooting for his next venture Mandaadi crafted by Mathimaran Pugazhenthi in which he will be romancing actress Mahima Nambiar. On the other hand, presently actress Aishwarya Lekshmi is eagerly expecting the release of her much-anticipated film Thug Life filmed by director Mani Ratnam in which she has shared screen space with actors Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan, and Trisha Krishnan. The Gatta Kusthi actress is presently occupied in her future Telugu flick SYG – Sambarala Yeti Gattu newbie story teller K P Rohith in which she will be collaborating with actor Sai Durgha Tej.
