Filmmaker turned actor Sundar C is one of very few people in K-town who effectively manages to juggle with two departments in the industry. When he is not directing, he is acting and vice versa. As a director he has a track record of many commercially successful dramas to his name. The reputation shadows his acting career as well. The director is currently gearing up for the release of his next movie christened Pattampoochi. The Thalai Nagaram star has worn the actor’s hat for the film. The flick is all set to hit the theaters on 13th of May this year. Now, the trailer of the drama is out!
The production house has unveiled the trailer of the movie on social media. Taking to her official Instagram account actress Kushboo Sunder has shared the trailer of the flick and wrote, “Here it is! Teaser of an investigative thriller! Pattampoochi.” Here is the teaser of the drama.
The one minute or so short cut, opens in the Chennai central jail with Sunder C’s voiceover saying, “There are two types of people, good and bad. If anyone desires to be born like a person, he is good. But if people think about why a person was born in the first place, he is bad. Both are choices. But remember one thing. If you are good, bad people will destroy you. If you are a bad person? If you want to be eternal, be a good person who knows bad.” The film happens in the 80’s time span. It is set to tell the tale of a serial killer and an upright police officer trying to track him down. Actor Sundar C plays the cop and actor Jai will be seen playing the serial killer. This is the first-time actor Jai has opted to try his hands on portraying an antagonist role in his career. It will be interesting to see how he does it.
Director Badri, a longtime associate of Sunder C who has delivered ventures like Veerappu and Thillu Mullu has helmed the entertainer. Apart from actors Sundar C and Jai, the film has actress Honey Rose of Singam Puli fame playing the female lead role. The casting of the flick has Imman Annachi and Manasvi essaying vital roles. Music director Navneeth Sunder has composed the music for the entertainer. Cinematographer E. Krishnasamy has been behind the camera for the flick. Editor Fenny Oliver has edited the entertainer. The project is bankrolled by actress and Sundar C’s wife Kushboo under the banner house Avni Telemedia.
On the work front, actor Sunder C who was last seen on screens in the horror comedy Aranmanai 3 is currently busy shooting for the sequel of Thalai Nagaram under the direction of film maker V. Z. Dhorai in which he will be romancing actress Palak Lalwani, and for One 2 One helmed by storyteller K Thirugnanam in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Ragini Dwivedi. Apart from these films, the actor has Vallan directed by Mani Seiyon in which he will be seen alongside actresses Tanya Hope, Hebah Patel, Chandhini Tamilarasan, and Abhirami Venkatachalam getting shaped in the post production for release.
