Actor Vijay was last seen on screens in the action movie Varisu which hit the theaters under directorial of director Vamshi Paidipally with actress Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The venture did not live up to the expectations of the audience. But the star power of the actor was sufficient to keep the box office rolling. The actor who is basking in the success of Varisu, is currently busy shooting for his next movie titled Leo. Actress Trisha Krishnan will be depicting the female lead. Nearly after a decade actress Trisha Krishnan is set to romance the actor on screens. Story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj who had previously helmed Vijay in Master is directing the flick. He has co written the script of Leo along with writers Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy. The entertainer which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony earlier this year is in the final leg of shoot.
The production house has now released a promo video of a song titled ‘Naa Ready’ on social media. Music director Anirudh Ravichander himself has shared the video. Taking to his official twitter account, the musician dropped a link to the Naa Ready promo video from Leo, and wrote, “Naa Ready promo is here. Full song from the day after. Actor Vijay himself has crooned the number. Lyricist Vishnu Edavan has penned the lyrics of the song. Leo is advertised to be a gangster film which will have actor Vijay in different looks. Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj had revealed in a recent interview that the entertainer will have some high-octane action blocks. The venture is made with a whooping budget of 300 crores. The mammoth budget and the duo’s previous success in Master has engendered high anticipation on the flick.
Besides actors Vijay, and Trisha Krishnan, Leo has Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt of KGF 2 fame as antagonist. The casting department of the flick has actors Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, Mathew Thomas, Babu Antony, Mano Bala, Janany Kunaseelan, George Maryan, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Kathir portraying various other supporting parts. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has been brought on board to score music for the entertainer. Leo will mark the third time collaboration of actor Vijay and Anirudh Ravichander after Master and Beast. Cinematographer G K Vishnu has been behind the lens for the drama. The editing division of the venture has been handed over to editor Ruben. Art director N Sathees Kumar has erected sets for the project. Stunt master Anbariv duo have choreographed action moves for the entertainer. The project is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar along with Jagadish Palanisamy for the production label Seven Screen Studio.
On the work front, actor Vijay who had his last outing in Varisu has played a cameo role in superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan which is scripted by director Atlee with actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in lead roles. The actor will soon begin to shoot for his next drama tentatively titled as Thalapathy 68 which is set to be directed by story teller Venkat Prabhu. On the other hand, actress Trisha Krishnan who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan 2 is currently busy shooting for her upcoming movie The Road helmed by director Arun Vaseegaran in which she will be seen alongside actor Shabeer Kallarakkal, and for a Malayalam venture Ram: Part 1 under the direction of story teller Jeethu Joseph in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Mohanlal, and Indrajith Sukumaran. Apart from these dramas, the actress has Sathuranga Vettai 2 crafted by filmmaker N V Nirmal Kumar in which she has romanced actor Arvind Swamy in the shelf waiting to see the light of day.
