Actor Vijay Antony lasty entertained audiences in the crime thriller Maargan directed by Dhana with actress Seshvitha Raju in the female lead role. The entertainer drew negative reviews from critics but had a decent run in the box office. The Hitler star is now gearing up for the release of his next neo political Tamil Telugu bilingual drama Shakthi Thirumagan. The Telugu version is titled Bhadrakaali. Shakthi Thirumagan will propel actor Vijay Antony to his 25th film milestone.
Director Arun Prabu Purushothaman, who garnered the attention of Tamil audience with the critically acclaimed entertainer Aruvi, has inked and helmed the project. Actress Trupti Ravindra will open her books in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the film. Veteran actor Vaagai Chandrasekhar will be seen in a crucial role in the flick. The makers have already announced that the movie will hit the screens worldwide on 5th of September.
The production house had launched the teaser of the venture recently on social media. They have now released the lyrical video song ‘Jill Jill’ from the entertainer. Taking to his official X handle, actor Vijay Antony himself shared a special poster along with a link to the lyrical video ‘Jill Jill’ from Shakthi Thirumagan and worded it, “Jill Jill from Shakthi Thirumagan out now on all streaming platforms. Actor Vijay Antony himself has handled musical gears for the movie. He has also crooned the number along with singer Vaaheesan Rasaiya, who has written lyrics for the song. The track is mixed and mastered by A M Rahmathulla. Three minutes odd lyrical video has actor Vijay Antony as a lawyer scheming, beating up henchmen, and animated portions of police torture, and chess pieces being shattered.
The teaser of Shakthi Thirumagan showed a mammoth scam of 6236 crores pulled off by someone, and it ended with the cops interrogating Vijay Antony in custody. Upon release Shakthi Thirumagan will be going head-to-head with actor Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharasi in the box office.
Apart from Vijay Antony, Trupti Ravindra, and Vaagai Chandrasekhar, the casting crew of Shakthi Thirumagan also has actors Sunil Kripalani, Riya Jithu, Kiran, Rini Bot, Cell Murugan, and child artist Master Keshav essaying various supporting roles. Cinematographer Shelley R Calist, who collaborated with story teller Arun Prabu Purushothaman in Aruvi and Vaazhl, has also taken care of the cinematography department of this film.
Editors Raymond Derrick Crasta and Dinsa have worked in tandem to bring coherence to the drama. Art director Sreeraman has designed the background for the flick. Action director Rajashekar has choreographed action blocks for the project. Shakthi Thirumagan is produced by Vijay Antony along with his wife Fatima Vijay Antony under the banner house Vijay Antony Film Corporation.
On the work front, actor Vijay Antony is presently occupied in his next multilingual project christened Lawyer helmed by story teller Joshua Sethuraman in which he will be seen alongside Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon. Apart from this venture, the Kodiyil Oruvan actor has few of his long-delayed movies in Khakhee directed by A Senthil Kumar in which he has joined forces with actors Jai, Sathyaraj, & Indhuja Ravichandran, Agni Siragugal helmed by director Naveen in which he has shared screen space with actors Arun Vijay & Akshara Haasan, and Valli Mayil directed by Suseenthiran in which he has partnered with actors Faria Abdullah and Sathyaraj in the trunk waiting to see the light of day.
