Kollywood actor and director Kamal Haasan is all set to be awarded the Chevalier de L’Ordre Arts et Letters (The Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by the French government, as part of France’s premiere award. Kamal has told that the award will be given at a special ceremony.
The award is presented to recognize great artists and writers, as well as people who have contributed them to the arts in France and throughout the world. And the other Indian recipients of the award are late Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Nandita Das and Shah Rukh Khan.
After receiving the award, Kamal has told that he is dedicating this award to love admirers and the audience. Earlier this award was given to Sivaji Ganesan and Satyajit Ray and Kamal is proud of the award and his accomplishment.
