Actor Raghava Lawrence has not had a single release in more than three years. The Muni actor had his last outing in the horror drama Kanchana 3 which hit the theaters under his own direction with actress Oviya, Vedhika, and Nikki Tamboli as female leads. The entertainer did not live up to the expectations of the audience, and hence could not replicate the success that previous films in the franchise enjoyed. But the actor has now put that behind him, and has moved on to his next project titled Rudhran. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has portrayed the female lead role in the venture. The entertainer is directed by story teller S Kathiresan. Writer K P Thirumaaran has written the script of the entertainer. The project which went on floors some time back with a small pooja ceremony has now been wrapped, and is in the post production getting shaped for release.
Now, we have news that Rudhran will have a remix track in the likes of the classic song ‘Paadatha Patellam.’ The production house has shared the news along with a promo video on social media. Actor Raghava Lawrence himself has shared the video. Taking to his official twitter handle, the actor shared a poster from Rudhran along with a link to the promo video, and wrote, “Quick on tap to beats & folkish Paadatha Patellam remix promo from Rudhran is here! The classic number is from the vintage drama Veera Thirumagan from 1962. Music directors Viswanathan and Ramamoorthy had composed music for the song. Legendary lyricist Kannadasan had written the lyrics. Last year, the production house had released a 20 seconds glimpse video of the film which had the message, “Evil is not born. It is created.” In the glimpse video the actor sort of looked like superstar Rajinikanth, which was widely spoken about. Now, the remix of the classic number will add more to the drama’s promotions. It is said that the production team is eyeing to bring the movie to the theaters for the summer this year.
Apart from actors Raghava Lawrence, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the casting division of the flick has actors Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Poornima Jayaram, Kaali Venkat, and Shyam Prasad K. R in various other supporting roles. Music director G. V. Prakash Kumar will be composing music for songs. While Sam C S will be scoring background music for the flick. Cinematographer R. D. Rajasekar has been behind the lens for the project. Editor Anthony has been roped in to edit the venture. Action choreographer Stunt Silva has choreographed action moves for the project. The entertainer is funded by director S Kathiresan himself under his own production company Five Star Creations LLP.
On the work front, actor Raghava Lawrence who was last seen on screens in the horror franchise Muni 4: Kanchana 3 is currently busy shooting for the sequel of Chandramukhi under the direction of P. Vasu, and for Adhigaram under the direction of film maker Durai Senthilkumar. Auteur Vetrimaaran has penned the script for the venture. The actor will soon begin to shoot for his upcoming movies titled Durga which is set to be helmed by storyteller Kathiresan, and Jigarthanda Double X, sequel of Jigarthanda under director Karthik Subbaraj in which he will be teaming up with actor SJ Suriya.
On the other hand, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar who had her last outing in the movie Thiruchitrambalam is currently busy shooting for the sequel of Indian crafted by director Shankar in which she will be seen alongside actor Kamal Hassan, for her debut untitled Telugu venture helmed by Eashvar Karthic in which she will be collaborating with actor Satya Dev, and for a Telugu web drama titled Dootha directed by Vikram Kumar in which she will be sharing the screen space with actors Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, and Parvathy Thiruvothu. Apart from these movies, the actress has Agilan crafted by N Kalyanakrishnan with actor Jayam Ravi in the lead, Bommai directed by Radha Mohan in which she has associated with actor S J Surya, and Pathu Thala filmed by Obeli N Krishna in which she has co starred with actors Silambarasan and Gautham Karthik, in various stages of post production getting refined for release.
