Actor Vemal was last seen on screens in a cameo part last month in the action-comedy drama Gangers crafted and headlined by director Sundar C with actors Vadivelu, Catherine Tresa, and Vani Bhojan in the lead roles. The DSP star is now gearing up for his next release via Paramasivan Fathima in which he has played the lead role. Story teller Esakki Karvannan, who has delivered projects like Pettikadai and Tamil Kudimagan, has written and helmed the venture. Actress Chaya Devi Kannan, who collaborated with actor Vemal in Sir, has been paired against him once again in the project. The makers are currently looking to freeze a date for release of the entertainer. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon.
The production house had recently released the trailer of the drama on social media. Now, they have shared the first single from the movie. Taking to their official X account, the team of Trend Music South dropped a clip from the song along with a link to the first single ‘Naa Malli’ from Paramasivan Fathima and captioned it, “Tag that pudhu mappillai in your gang. Naa Malli on YouTube!! Watch it now! Starring Vemal Chaya Devi Kannan. Produced & Directed by Lakshmi Creations Esakki Karvannan. Music by Deepan Chakravarthy. Singer Priya Hemesh has lent her voice for the number. Lyricist Ekadesi has penned lyrics for the track. Music composer Deepan Chakravarthy of Veerayi Makkal fame has scored music for the flick. Maniratnam has mixed and mastered the song. Three minute odd track is set in a zestful wedding backdrop where we witness burgeoning romance between the lead pair. The trailer of the venture which was released earlier this year showed religious tension simmering between two villages and people of both villages bickering over a cadaver as to how the last ritual must be carried out.
Beside Vemal and Chaya Devi Kannan, the star cast of Paramasivan Fathima also has actors Aruldoss, M S Bhaskar, Manoj Kumar, Athira, Sri Ranjani, Seshvitha, Kadhal Sukumar, Veerasamar, and Cool Suresh in various supporting characters. Cinematographer M Sukumar has been trusted with the cinematography division of the movie. Editor Buvan has been brought on board to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director Veerasamar has designed sets for the drama. Stunt man Dinesh Kasi has engineered the action blocks for the flick. Paramasivan Fathima is funded by Esakki Karvannan himself for his production label Lakshmi Creations.
On the work front, actor Vemal is currently working on his upcoming projects Belladonna crafted by director Santhosh Babu Muthusamy, and Desingu Raja 2 helmed by story teller Ezhil in which he will be collaborating with actress Pujita Ponnada. Apart from these movies, the Sir actor has few of his long-delayed ventures Enga Pattan Sothu scripted by Sargunam in which he has shared screen space with actress Anicka Vikhraman, Sandakkari directed by storyteller Madhesh in which he will be seen alongside actress Shriya Saran, and Lucky filmed by director Prasanth Pandiyaraj in the box waiting for release.
