Actor Vikram Prabhu was last seen on screens back in 2023 in the action thriller movie Raid crafted by debutant director Karthi with actresses Sri Divya and Ananthika Sanilkumar as female leads. The Idhu Enna Maayam actor is now getting ready to have a release this year in his upcoming venture titled Love Marriage. Debutant story teller Shanmuga Priyan, erstwhile associate of director Anand Shankar, has written and directed the project.
Malayalam actress Meenakshi Dinesh and Kannada actress Sushmitha Bhat will be opening their account in Tamil cinema with their female lead roles in the project. The makers had recently released two singles from the drama on social media. Now they have announced the release date of the venture. Love Marriage is slated to hit theaters worldwide on 27th of June.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Vikram Prabhu himself dropped a special poster from Love Marriage and worded, “Here WE go! Love Marriage in theatres worldwide on JUNE 27th. Earlier talking about the movie to a leading daily story teller Shanmuga Priyan stated, “Love Marriage is set in a rural backdrop. It threads on an imperative contemporary issue – struggles and consequences of men facing difficulties to find a suitable bride. In our society, men start to face marital pressure from their family soon after they cross 30. How they cope with marriage pressure and delayed marriages will form the crux of the story.”
Speaking further he disclosed, “Instead of taking a melodramatic tone with this serious subject, we have infused a mix comedy with a wide range of emotions. We have also played a bit with storytelling style to entertain the audience. I am confident the family audience will love the experience the film offers.”
Besides Vikram Prabhu, Sushmitha Bhat, and Meenakshi Dinesh, the star cast of Love Marriage also has actors Ramesh Tilak, Arul Doss, Kodangi Vadivelu, Muruganandam, Ananda, Gajaraj, Winner Ramachandran, L K Akshay Kumar, and Yasar depicting various supporting roles. Veteran actor Sathyaraj is said to have played an extended cameo part in the flick.
Music composer Sean Roldan has been brought on board to work on the musical division of the drama. Love Marriage will mark the second association of him with actor Vikram Prabhu after their outing in Neruppu Da. The makers have already released two singles from the project christened ‘Kalyana Kalavaram’ and ‘Bejaara Aanen.’
Cinematographer Madhan Christopher has been behind camera for the flick. Editor Barath Vikraman has been roped in to oversee the editing division of the entertainer. Art director Vignesh Guru has engineered sets for the drama. Stunt master Dinesh Kasi has designed action moves for the venture. Love Marriage is produced by Dr Swetha Shri under the production company Assure Films in collaboration with Sreenidhi Sagar under the banner house Rise East Entertainment.
On the professional front, actor Vikram Prabhu will next be seen on screens in Telugu in the action crime movie Ghaati filmed by Krish Jagarlamudi in which he has shared screen space with actors Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapathi Babu. The Vaanam Kottattum star is currently working on his future entertainers Rathamum Sadhaiyum directed by storyteller Harendhar Balachandar, and Pagaiye Kathiru crafted by Manivel in which he will be co starring with actresses Smruthi Venkat and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
On the other hand, actress Meenakshi Dinesh is presently occupied in her upcoming Telugu film tentatively christened SVCC 39 helmed by story teller Kumar Sai in which she will be seen alongside actor Gopichand.
