Actor Vemal had his last outing in Paramasivan Fathima filmed by Esakki Karvannan with actress Chaya Devi Kannan as female lead. The Thoonga Nagaram star is now gearing up for the release of the sequel to his superhit comedy entertainer Desingu Raja. Director Ezhil, who helmed the first part has been retained to do his job in the second installment. The second part is said to be a distinct plot.
Actress Pujita Ponnada of Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal fame has been signed as the female lead. Desingu Raja 2 is slated to hit the screens worldwide on 11th of July. The makers had recently shared the first lyrical video song from the drama on social media. They have now dropped the teaser of the entertainer.
Taking to their official X profile, the team of Infinity Creations shared a special poster along with a link to the teaser of Desingu Raja 2 and worded, “Desingu Raja 2 teaser is streaming now! Laughter, drama & full-on fun with your favorite stars! Watch now. Infinity Creations, Ezhil, Vidyasagar, Vemal, Jana Nathan, Pugazh, G Harshitha, Pujita Ponnada. Nearly two minutes of teaser of Desingu Raja 2 starts with a scene where actor Vaiyapuri informs his superior, “Madam, market Pandi’s amputated head is in A2 police station. Intelligence agency has confirmed the news.” We have the intro of actor Vemal given by Swaminathan, “He is the inspector of our station Mr. Kulasekara Pandian. He is a terror.” We are then presented with a few glimpses of the star’s action sequences.
In a subsequent scene we see actor Pugazh in a policewoman role saying, “Today will be the end of the Kaliyuga war between me and Kulasekara Pandian. Everybody is like fire.” To which a character retorts, “Can we pour petrol and lit ourselves on fire?” The teaser ends with actor Pugazh mouthing, “Are they playing a dice game with a decapitated head? We will play Mankatha.”
Star cast of Desingu Raja 2 also comprises actors Robo Shankar, Cook With Comali fame Pugazh, Redin Kingsley, Ravi Mariya, G Harshitha, Jana Nathan, Mottai Rajendran, Chaams, Vaiyapuri, Singampuli, Jangiri Madhumitha, Swaminathan, Madurai Muthu, Vinoth, and Sumathi. Bollywood actress Sneha Gupta will appear for an item number. Music composer Vidyasagar has scored music for the drama. A single titled ‘Pidaari Kovil Thoppu’ is already out from the album.
Cinematographer R Selva has handled camera gears for the flick. Editor K Ananda Linga Kumar has been contracted to chop and patch the drama. Art director V M Shivakumar has designed the background for the movie. Action master Karthik Varman has choreographed action blocks for the entertainer. Desingu Raja 2 is bankrolled by P Ravichandran under his banner house Infinity Creations.
On the work side, actor Vemal is presently working on his next film tentatively christened Vemal 36 filmed by Elson Eldhose and Maneesh K Thoppil, Manjal Kudai crafted by Sivam Rajamani in which he will be teaming up with actress Shirin Kanchwala, and Belladonna scripted by Santhosh Babu Muthusamy. Apart from these films, the Sir star has few of his long-delayed flicks Enga Pattan Sothu directed by Sargunam in which he will be seen alongside actress Anicka Vikhraman, Sandakkari directed by Madhesh in which he has joined forces with actress Shriya Saran, and Lucky helmed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj in the trunk waiting for release.
On the other hand, actress Pujita Ponnada will have her next release in Tamil in Bhagavan scripted by newbie Kalingan in which she has co starred with actor Aari Arjunan, and in Telugu cinema via an item number in the swashbuckler action entertainer Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 crafted by Krish Jagarlamudi in which she has collaborated with actors Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, Nargis Fakhri, and Nidhhi Agerwal.
