As per reports, the film Mercury, is to be very soon released by AR Rahman, Dilquer Salmaan, Rakshit Shetty and Nitish. The mentioned dignitaries from the south industry have been confirmed to be present at the trailer launch event of Karthik Subbaraj’s next big and much awaited venture. The trailer would have been released the week before this bit however, the trailer launch event was cancelled due to the Cauvery protests and Sterlite problems in the entire state. The teaser of the film was publicized by superstars like Dhanush, Rana Daggubati, Nivin Pauly and Rakshit Shetty last month. They wished the filmmaker the best on their respective Twitter handles.
Anticipated to be silent thriller, Mercury will be starring Prabhudeva, the ace dancer- choreographer and actor in the pivotal role and actors like Ramya Nambesan, Sanath Reddy and Indhuja in significant roles. The film will be jointly banked by Stone Bench Films and Pen Movies and Santhosh Narayanan will be working on the music, fourth time this time with Karthik Subbaraj. Dated to be released on the 13th of April, the film might not release in the Tamil version due to the Cauvery riots.
