Actor Vishnu Vishal last graced the silver screens in the sports movie Lal Salaam filmed by director Aishwarya Rajinikanth with actor Vikranth being the other lead. The Gatta Kusthi actor had been busy shooting for his next romantic entertainer christened Irandu Vaanam. Director Ram Kumar, who has already collaborated with actor Vishnu Vishal in runaway hits like Mundasupatti and Ratsasan, is in the director’s chair for the flick. He has also been credited with the story.
Actress Mamitha Baiju of Rebel fame has been engaged to play the female lead role in the venture. The shoot for the drama was happening in full swing. Now we have news that the shoot for the entertainer has been wrapped in a span of 150 days. Actor Vish himself has announced the news on social media.
Taking to his official X profile, actor Vishnu Vishal dropped a snap of himself with director Ram Kumar taken on the last day of shoot in the sets of Irandu Vaanam and captioned it, “Last day of Irandu Vaanam . . . 150th day of shoot. . . It’s been a journey that you also will get to feel on the big screen soon. . .. Ramkumar has cooked something unique and interesting again . . . The first look poster of the film had actor Vishnu Vishal seated on a cloud and opposite to it was an inverted picture of actress Mamitha Baiju. The unique nature of the poster garnered the attention of the audience. The refreshing cinematic experience that both Mundasupatti and Ratsasan offered has set high expectations on this project.
Irandu Vaanam will mark the return of story teller Ram Kumar to Tamil cinema after seven years following the blockbuster success of Ratsasan in 2018. The production unit is currently making moves to lock a date for release of the venture. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon.
The makers are yet to disclose the artists that are part of the cast. Music director Dhibu Ninan Thomas has been contracted to handle musical gear for the film. Cinematographer Dinesh K Babu has taken care of the cinematography division of the movie.
Editor San Lokesh has been brought on board to bring coherence to the flick. Art director A Gopi Anand has designed the background for the drama. Action director Vicky has fashioned action blocks for the flick. Irandu Vaanam is bankrolled by T G Thyagarajan, Sendhil Thyagarajan, and Arjun Thyagarajan for the banner house Sathya Jyothi Films.
On the professional side, actor Vishnu Vishal will next be seen on screens in an extended cameo role in his brother Rudra’s debut movie Oho Enthan Baby scripted by Krishnakumar Ramakumar with actress Mithila Palkar as female lead, in Aaryan directed by director K Praveen in which he has performed alongside actresses Vani Bhojan & Shraddha Srinath, and Mohandas crafted by director Murali Karthick in which he has shared screen space with actors Aishwarya Rajesh and Indrajith Sukumaran. The Indru Netru Naalai star is presently occupied in his future untitled dramas crafted by story teller Chella Ayyavu of Gatta Kusthi fame, Sathish Selvakumar, and Gokul.
On the other hand, actress Mamitha Baiju is currently busy shooting for her future projects Jana Nayagan scripted by story teller H Vinoth in which she will be co starring with actors Vijay, Pooja Hegde, & Gautham Vasudev Menon, and for the film tentatively christened PR 4 helmed by director Keerthiswaran in which she will be partnering with actor Pradeep Ranganathan.
