Actor Kavin Raj lastly entertained audiences in the black comedy flick Bloody Beggar helmed by newbie story teller Sivabalan Muthukumar. The Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma actor is now getting ready for the release of his next romantic drama christened Kiss. Dance choreographer and actor Sathish Krishnan will be testing the waters as director with the film. Writers Mugil and R Savari Muthu have assisted him in writing dialogues for the entertainer.
Actress Preethi Asrani of Election fame has essayed the female lead role in the flick. The shoot for the venture predominately took place in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai. Kiss was scheduled to hit theaters on 28th of March this year. Due to reasons best known to the production team it did not materialize. The makers later announced July as the release window. The movie will be released in languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Meanwhile, the production house has begun to promote the entertainer across all platforms. As part of it, they had recently launched the teaser and first single ‘Thirudi’ from the movie on social media. Now they have released the second single from the album.
Taking to his official X account, producer Raahul himself dropped a special clip along with a link to the second single ‘Jillelama’ from Kiss and captioned it, “Baby you are right, you are in love with Jillelama and so are we. Jen Martin, R K Adithya, Priya Mali, Vishnu Edavan. Kiss Second Single out now.” Here is the post made by the producer.
Singers R K Adithya and Priya Mali have lent their voice for the track. Director and lyricist Vishnu Edavan has written lyrics for the track. The number has been mixed and mastered by Vinay Sridhar. Music director Jen Martin, who composed music for Kavin’s Dada and Bloody Beggar, has scored music for the movie. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander was initially signed in to score music for the film. Sadly, he backed out of the project due to his other obligations.
Interestingly, director Mysskin had reserved the title Kiss long back, and holds the rights to it. But he generously permitted director Sathish Krishnan to use it. The teaser of Kiss which got released earlier this year had actor Kavin Raj as a youngster who abhors romantic gestures in public, and as a personality who gets perplexed when the heroine enquiries him about his first kiss.
Beside Kavin and Preethi Asrani, the star cast of the entertainer also has actors Mysskin, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Devayani, Rao Ramesh, RJ Vijay, and Mathew Varghese in various supporting characters. Cinematographer Harish Kannan has overseen the cinematography department of the project.
Editor R C Pranav has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the flick. Art director Mohana Mahendiran has erected sets for the film. Stunt masters Dinesh Subbarayan, Peter Hein, and Rambo Vimal have fashioned action blocks for the movie. The project is bankrolled by Raahul along with Javid under the production label Romeo Pictures.
On the work side, actor Kavin Raj is presently engaged in his next entertainers titled Mask directed by storyteller Vikarnan Ashok in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Andrea Jeremiah, Hi helmed by director Vishnu Edavan in which he will be performing alongside actress Nayanthara for the first time in his career, and Oor Kuruvi crafted by story teller K Arun.
