Actor Sivakarthikeyan is on a roll in Tamil cinema at present. Spoken as the next superstar of K town. The actor was last seen on screens in the comedy entertainer Don which hit the screens under the direction of film maker Cibi Chakaravarthi with actress Priyanka Arul Mohan in the female lead. The film was released amid high anticipation. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations. But despite that, it managed to do well commercially. The actor who is basking in the success of Don is now gearing up for the release of his next comedy drama titled Prince. Director Anudeep K. V has helmed the drama. The entertainer went on floors earlier this year and has been wrapped, and is in the post production getting tuned for release. Now, we have an interesting update on the drama.
The production house has revealed the release date of the movie on social media. Prince is poised to hit the theaters this Diwali on 31st October. Actor Sivakarthikeyan himself has shared the news. Taking to his official twitter handle the actor shared a funny date announcement video, and wrote, “Prince for Diwali here’s the official announcement video.”
Earlier it was announced that the movie will be released on Vinayagar Chathurthi on 31st of August. But now due to unknown reasons the production unit has pushed the release of the flick to Diwali. Several star actor’s movies are hitting the theaters this Diwali Ajith Kumar’s AK 61, Karthi’s Sardar, Jayam Ravi’s Iraivan. In his career so far, this is the first time the Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam actor is set to have a Diwali release. The actor is addressed by his aficionados as Prince and now the same has been used as a title for his film. The first look poster of the film was dropped on social media a week ago which enjoyed a good reception among his fans, and has set the expectation level quite high. The actor’s previous films have been dubbed and released in Tollywood. Prince will mark the direct debut of the star in Telugu cinema as it is made both in Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously.
Apart from actor Sivakarthikeyan, the project has Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka playing the female lead role. The casting of the flick has veteran actor Sathyaraj, and Premji Amaran playing key supporting roles. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has been behind the camera for the movie. Music director Thaman S has handled the musical instruments for the film. Editor Praveen K. L has trimmed the flick. The venture is produced by Suniel Narang for the banner house Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas, along with D. Suresh Babu and Pushkar Ram Mohan Rao under the production house Suresh Productions.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who was last seen on screens in the action comedy drama Don will soon begin to shoot for his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual project tentatively christened SK21 under the direction of story teller Rajkumar Periyasamy in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Sai Pallavi. Apart from this venture, the actor has the science fiction flick titled Ayalaan filmed by director R. Ravikumar in which he will be seen alongside actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production shaping up for release.
