The two minutes odd trailer of Made In Korea opens to a scenic hill region plantation to a girl learning Korean language. Then we have the voiceover of actress Priyanka Mohan, “In a tiny village there lived a girl with a big dream. Somehow go to Korea.” We are shown glimpses of the girl learning about Korean culture and savoring Korean cuisine. The shot cuts to her father rebuking her, “Will anyone go to Korea by train? Fool. Fool.”
In a scene we witness a bank manager enquiring with Priyanka Mohan, “You are willing to take such a big loan to visit Korea? What is so special about that place?” She tells him, “Why did you marry your wife? Many such questions in life cannot be answered, sir. I like it, that is it.”
Subsequently she lands in Korea and gets philosophical, “We go any distance for the things we love. We do whatever it takes for what we want. Sometimes happiness and betrayal knock at your door at the same time. I must return my dad’s money. Sometimes, you receive love from unexpected people. Sometimes, people closest to you test your hearts the most. But despite the tears shed of joy or sadness, what truly matters is the people who stand by you!”
Her philosophical recital continues, “If you follow your heart, it will lead you to places. My love for Korea made me discover myself and brought me closer to home!” The trailer ends with a Korean actor telling Priyanka Mohan, “Makgeolli . . . This is Korea’s traditional drink.” She responds, “Fermented rice? Nice!”
Star cast of Made In Korea also comprises actors Ha Ram, Rishikanth, Park Hye-Jin, Jaehyun Jang, Baek Si-Hoon, Kim Rok, and Kim So Ri. Music director Hesham Abdul Wahab has handled musical instruments for the drama.
