Actor Prabhu Deva was last seen on screens in Hindi cinema in Badass Ravi Kumar helmed by director Keith Gomes with actors Himesh Reshammiya and Simona J in lead roles. The My Dear Bootham actor’s next venture tentatively titled ‘Production No 4’ was announced in the month of August this year. Newbie story teller Sam Rodrigues, who has previously worked with actor Prabhu Deva in Musasi, will be directing the entertainer. Writer Vignesh Jeyapal has written dialogues for the project.
Actor Vadivelu has been signed in to play the second lead in the film. He will be sharing screen space with actor Prabhu Deva nearly after two decades. Actor Bablu Prithviraj is set to portray a prominent role in the flick. Now we have news that the shoot for the entertainer has begun. The makers themselves have shared the news on social media.
Taking to their official X account, production team of Kannan Ravi Groups dropped a short video clip and announced, “The eruption of legends is about to reshape the scene. The entertainer is said to be an out and out action-adventure drama. Actors Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu have entertained audience with their brilliant timing, comical expressions, and delivery in Kaadhalan, Raasaiyya, Love Birds, Mr. Romeo, Kaathala Kaathala, Manadhai Thirudivittai, and Engal Anna. Prabhudeva has also directed Vadivelu in Pokkiri and Villu. Hence, the expectations have already skyrocketed among fans of both the stars.
The production house had earlier shared a poster which had the iconic one liner of the duo, ‘Why Blood Same Blood’ from Manadhai Thirudivittai. The duo had recreated the scene during the project’s launch in Dubai. The makers have plans to wrap the shoot for the venture by early march. As they are aiming to bring the film to theaters by midyear.
The casting team is currently zeroing in on artists that would be part of the cast. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has been contracted to compose music for the entertainer. Cinematographer H C Venu has been trusted with the cinematography department of the venture.
Editor Anthony has been brought on board to bring coherence to the movie. Art director T Ramalingam will be fashioning the background for the project. Stunt director Peter Hein will be engineering action moves for the film. The movie is backed by Kannan Ravi in affiliation with Deepak Ravi under the production banner Kannan Ravi Groups.
On the professional side, actor Prabhu Deva will soon have a release in Moonwalk filmed by Manoj Nirmala Sreedharan in which he has costarred with actors Yogi Babu and Aju Varghese.
The Jolly O Gymkhana actor is currently busy shooting for his future films Wolf directed by Vinu Venkatesh in which he will be seen alongside actresses Anasuya Bharadwaj, Anju Kurian, & Raai Laxmi, Singanallur Signal filmed by J M Raja Saravanan in which he will be associating with actress Bhavya Trikha, Musasi helmed by Sam Rodrigues in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Leona Lishoy, a Malayalam flick Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer scripted by Rojin Thomas in which he will be teaming up with actors Jayasurya & Anushka Shetty, and a Hindi drama Maharagni: Queen of Queens crafted by Charan Tej Uppalapati in which he will be costarring with actress Kajol.
