Actor Mirchi Shiva who has the difficult flair of making even a bad joke land well was last seen on screens in the horror comedy Idiot which hit the theaters under the direction of Rambhala with actress Nikki Galrani in the lead. Due to poor scripting the entertainer failed to entertain the audience, and as a result did bad business. But the actor has now put that behind and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming flick christened Kasethan Kadavulada. Director R. Kannan of Kanden Kadhalai fame has helmed the drama. The shooting for the project was happening in full swing in Chennai when a set erupted for the project. The shooting was wrapped up last week and the flick was sent to the post production.
Now, we have news on the release date of the movie. There is news that the production unit is eyeing to bring the film to the theaters on 7th of October this year. An official confirmation regarding the same is expected to be made soon. Kasethan Kadavulada is based on the 1972 classic vintage film of the same name which had actors Muthuraman, M. R. R. Vasu, Thengai Srinivasan, and Srikanth in the lead roles. However, the director is said to have made some changes to the plot to better suit the taste of today’s generation. The plot is about a young man who teams up with his friend and cousin to swindle the wealth of his stepmother. The production unit dropped the trailer of the movie on social media last month. The trailer has enjoyed a good reception among the audience and has clocked millions of views till date.
Apart from actor Mirchi Shiva, Kasethan Kadavulada has actress Priya Anand in the female lead role. The film has an ensemble cast that includes veteran actress Urvashi, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Cook With Komali fame Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Pugazh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Manobala, and VTV Ganesh. Music director Raj Pratap has handled the musical instruments for the flick. The camera work for the entertainer has been done by cinematographer S. Saravanan. Editor Don Bosco will be taking care of the editing department. Art director Raj Kumar has powered the art division. The project is bankrolled by R. Kannan under the banner house Masala Pix MKRP Productions.
On the work front, actor Mirchi Shiva who was last seen on screens in Idiot is currently busy shooting for his next ventures titled Golmaal under the directorial of story teller Pon Kumaran in which he will be collaborating with actors Jiiva, Payal Rajput, and Tanya Hope, for Saloon filmed by director Muthu Kumaran in which he will be co starring with actress Tanya Ravichandran, and for Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum helmed by story teller Vignesh Sha in which he will be romancing actress Megha Akash. Besides these ventures the actor has his long-delayed drama Sumo scripted S. P. Hosimin in which he has associated with actress Priya Anand in the shelves awaiting release.
On the other hand, actress Priya Anand who was last seen in Tamil in a supporting role in Adithya Varma is currently busy shooting for her upcoming Kannada drama Kuladalli Keelyavudo scripted by Yogaraj Bhat in which she will be sharing the screen space with actor Shivarajkumar. Apart from this movie, the actress has Andhagan directed by Thiagarajan in which she has co-starred with actor Prashanth, and Sumo scripted S. P. Hosimin in which he has teamed up with actor Shiva in various stages of post-production shaping up for release.
