Meet ‘Siya’ In The Newly Released Second Promo For Dhanush’s OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood!
Actor Dhanush K Raja last graced the silver screens in the heist action thriller drama Kara filmed by Vignesh Raja with actress Mamitha Baiju as female lead. The Idli Kadai actor is now looking forward to the release of his next action crime thriller drama titled OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. Director Rajkumar Periasamy, who previously helmed projects like Rangoon and Amaran, has penned and directed the film.
Actress Sai Pallavi has played the female lead role in the movie. She has reunited with actor Dhanush after their captivating onscreen dynamic in Maari 2. Malayalam superstar Mammootty has essayed a prominent role in the film. The venture was shot in multiple places across Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Dubai. OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood is slated to release in cinemas worldwide on 16th of October. Earlier, the makers had dropped a promo and a single from the album on social media. They have now shared the second promo for the entertainer.
Taking to their official X timeline, the team of RTake Studios unveiled a special poster along with a link to the second promo of OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood and worded, “It’s time to introduce you to, Burma Karthikeyan. Siya Entry from OM. A Sai Abhyankkar Musical. Dhanush K Raja, Rajkumar Periasamy, R Take Studios, Wunderbar Films, Sai Pallavi, Naseeruddin Shah, Sreeleela, Shraddha Agrawal, Azmat Jagmag, Sreyas Srinivasan, Sandesh Agrawal, Vishu Ramaswamy, Ezhil Arasu K, R Kalaivanan, Sandy, Kavya Sriram, Sivam C Kabilan, Rajeevan Nambiar, Jay Mehta, Kuchirayar, Warner Music India, Divo Music, Manoj Maddy, RIAZ K Ahmed, Paras Riyaz, AIM Pro.” Here is the post made by the production unit.
The two minutes long promo video opens with a voiceover, “The national control bureau from Abu Dhabi has sent a lookout notice in pursuit of a member of an international organized crime network.” We then learn the individual that they are looking for is Burma Karthikeyan (played by Mammootty). Subsequently, the cops inquire about Karthikeyan’s whereabouts to a group of people.
The shot cuts to a rear view of actor Mammootty, coolly sitting and watching football. Then we have the voiceover of the actor saying, “Discarding the old, ushering in the new. Misfortune strikes the leg that was already injured, and ruin visits the family that was already ruined.” Following this, a series of jump cuts establishes him as a big shot. In a scene he says, “I am a smuggler. Not a man with a heart of gold. You could say I am 916 gold alloyed with copper.”
In the earlier promo, cops detain a tree-felling crew inside a dense forest during a downpour and prepare to shoot them down, but actor Dhanush arrives just in time as their savior. Apart from Dhanush, Sai Pallavi, and Mammootty, the star cast of OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood also has Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, Telugu actress Sreeleela, Indrans, and Chaitu Jonnalagadda essaying various supporting roles.
Music composer Sai Abhyankkar has composed music for the drama. Already a single ‘Alaakaa Loova’ in the vocals of Sai Abhyankkar lyrics written by Rokesh, is out from the album. Cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K has been behind the lens for the flick. Editor R Kalaivanan has been trusted with the editing department of the movie. Art director A Pannerselvam has built sets for the entertainer. Action directors Yannick Ben and Kecha Khamphakdee have choreographed action blocks in the drama.
OM Chapter I: Udhiram – The Blood Wood is backed by Dhanush K Raja himself along with Sreyas Srinivasan under the production studio Wunderbar Films, in association with Shraddha Agrawal, Sandesh Agrawal, and Azmat Jagmag for the production banner RTake Studios.
On the work front, actor Dhanush K Raja is concurrently shooting for several projects in Thamizh Murugan created by Vetrimaaran, Ilaiyaraaja crafted by Arun Matheswaran, Aayirathil Oruvan 2 directed by Selvaraghavan, Pudhupettai 2 also scripted by Selvaraghavan, a venture provisionally titled D 56 filmed by Mari Selvaraj, Kalam: The Missile Man Of India helmed by Om Raut, and two of his untitled movies under the directorial of Nelson Dilipkumar & H Vinoth.
On the other hand, actress Sai Pallavi is eagerly expecting her next release in Tamil via Inji Vellam scripted by Mani Ratnam in which she has romanced actor Vijay Sethupathi, and in Hindi via Ramayana crafted by Nitesh Tiwari in which she has starred with actors Ranbir Kapoor & Yash. The Gargi actress is now engaged in her future untitled venture directed and headlined by Pradeep Ranganathan with actors Prabhu Deva & Yogi babu in lead roles, and a Malayalam movie Thaaram helmed by Vinay Govind in which she will be featuring with actors Nivin Pauly & Kayadu Lohar.
