Lyrical Video Of ‘Hukum’ Song From Rajinikanth’s Jailer Is Here!

Superstar Rajinikanth was last seen in the mass action movie Annaatthe which hit the theaters under the direction of Siruthai Siva with actress Nayanthara in the female lead role. The flick was tagged with negative reviews from critics and audiences. Despite that, it managed to do well at the box office. The Darbar actor who basks in the success of the film is getting ready for the release of his next venture christened Jailer. Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has depicted the female lead part. Storyteller Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila fame, has penned and crafted the drama. The entertainer which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony some time back is now done and dusted ready to hit the screens on 10th of August this year in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Earlier the production house had unveiled a lyrical video of ‘Kaavaalaa’ which went on to be a sensational hit. They have now released another lyrical video of a song named ‘Hukum’ from the drama on social media. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has dropped the lyrical video. Taking to his official twitter handle, the musician dropped a link to the lyrical video of Hukum and wrote, “Hukum – Thalaivar Alappara. Thalaivar Superstar Rajinikanth Alappara. Nelson Dilipkumar.” Here is the tweet made by the musician. 

A nearly three and a half minute long lyrical video opens with the voiceover of actor Rajinikanth, “I am the king here. I dictate the rules. I will keep changing those rules often. You have to follow that without whining. If you try to revolt, I will chop you into pieces. Hukum. Tiger ka Hukum.” Musician Anirudh Ravichander has lent his voice to the number. Lyricist Super Subu has written the lyrics of the song. Actor Rajinikanth looked young and dynamic in an announcement video shared by the production team recently. Thanks to the outstanding work of stylist Aalim Hakim. The young getup of the actor has sent his aficionados to a euphoric state. The production unit is planning to release the teaser of Jailer in a week. Followed by the trailer earlier next month. 

Besides actors Rajinikanth and Tamannaah Bhatia, the casting unit of the drama has actors Mohan Lal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Kishore, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Jaffer Sadiq, Billy Muralee, Naga Babu, Dancer Ramesh, Sugunthan, Karate Karthi, Mithun, Mirnaa Menon, Arshad, G Marimuthu, Namo Narayana, Rithvik, Ananth, Saravanan, Aranthaangi Nisha, Mahanadi Shankar, Kalai Arasan, Sadhu Kokila, and Ravi Venkatraman in various other supporting roles. Music director Anirudh Ravichander has handled musical instruments for the film. Cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan has been behind the camera for the flick. Editor R Nirmal has edited the drama. Art director Drk Kiran has designed the background for the flick. Action director Stunt Siva has choreographed action blocks for the project. The entertainer is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran for his production company Sun Pictures. Chimbu Cine Arts has bought the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the film. 

On the work front, actor Rajinikanth who graced the silver screen previously in Annaatthe is currently busy shooting for a short role in Lal Salaam crafted by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth in which he will be seen alongside actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. He will soon begin to shoot under director T G Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame for their upcoming project tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. On the other hand, actress Tamannaah Bhatia who had her last outing in Tamil in Action is currently busy shooting for her upcoming movie Aranmanai 4 directed by Sundar C in which she will be collaborating with actor Vijay Sethupathi, for a Malayalam flick Bandra helmed by Arun Gopy in which she will be associating with actor Arjun Ashokan, and for a Hindi film Vedaa filmed by Nikkhil Advani in which she will be romancing actor John Abraham. Besides these movies, the actress has a couple of Telugu entertainers Bhola Shankar helmed by Meher Ramesh in which she has co starred with actors Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh, That Is Mahalakshmi scripted by Prasanth Varma in which she has shared screen space with actress Shibani Dandekar, and a Hindi movie Bole Chudiyan directed by Shamas Nawab Siddiqui in which she has romanced actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in different phases of post production shaping up for release.
