Veteran actor Sarathkumar had his last outing in the likes of the crime thriller film Por Thozhil which hit the screens under the directorial of story teller Vignesh Raja with actor Ashok Selvan in a vital part. The entertainer which hit the theaters as an underdog work received positive reviews from critics and audience. Thus, it had a decent run in the box office. The Nattamai actor has now moved on and is getting ready for the release of his upcoming film titled Paramporul. Actor Amitash Pradhan of Velaiyilla Pattathari fame has portrayed a pivotal role. Filmmaker C Aravind Raj has written and helmed the project. The shoot for the venture is wrapped. The project is currently in the post production stage shaping up for release.
The production house has now unveiled the teaser of the drama on social media. Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar has dropped the teaser. Taking to her official twitter account, the actress shared a link to the teaser of Paramporul and wrote, “Hot topic in the state, idol theft, keeping up with the times in this quirky film Paramporul. Nearly one and a half minute long teaser video opens to a character asking, “Do these antique sculptures really trade for 100-150 crores sir?” Another character responds, “Nothing like that sir. People assume a number and publish it in the news. Believing in these stories, smugglers loot unattended sculptures throughout the state. After realizing they do not sell at that price, they discard them in the gutter.” Following which we have someone informing over a walkie-talkie, “Last week there was a double murder in Tiruvallur. We suspect the involvement of a smuggling gang.” Actor Sarathkumar asks, “What type of smuggling gang?” The person tells, “There are rumors the victim had some vintage effigies.” The teaser ends with the actor singing, “Those who have money do not have ethics. Those who have ethics do not have money.” The teaser has gone viral and has clocked millions of views in a short phase. There is news that the production house is planning to release the drama in the month of August. It is said that the team is currently working to block a date for release. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon.
Apart from actors Sarathkumar, and Amitash Pradhan, Paramporul has actress Kashmira Pardeshi of Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame essaying the female lead role. Director and actor Balaji Sakthivel has played a key role in the drama. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has been brought on board to compose music for the venture. Cinematographer S Pandikumar has handled the cinematography division of the flick. Editor Nagooran Ramachandran has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the movie. Art director Kumar Gangappan has erected sets for the venture. Stunt master Dinesh Subbarayan has choreographed action blocks for the flick. The project is produced by Manoj and Girish under the production house Kavi Creations.
On the work front, actor Sarathkumar who was last seen on screens in Tamil in Por Thozhil is currently busy shooting for his next venture christened Criminal directed by debutant film maker DhakshinaMoorthy Ramar in which he will be seen alongside actor Gautham Karthik, and for a Malayalam movie titled Bandra under the direction of story teller Arun Gopy in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Dileep and Tamannaah Bhatia. Apart from these flicks, the actor has Nirangal Moondru helmed by Karthick Naren in which he has collaborated with actors Atharvaa Murali, and Rahman in the post production stage getting refined for release. On the other hand, actress Kashmira Pardeshi who had her last outing in Tamil in Vasantha Mullai is currently busy shooting for her upcoming drama PT Sir crafted by Karthik Venugopalan in which she will be co starring with actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi.
