Actor Rio Raj had his last outing earlier this year in the romantic comedy flick Sweetheart which hit theaters under the direction of S Sukumar with actress Gopika Ramesh in the female lead role. The Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja actor will soon have yet another, release this year in the upcoming film christened Aan Paavam Pollathathu. Newbie director Kalaiarasan Thangavel is in the director’s chair for the movie. Writer Sivakumar Murugeshan has conceptualized the story, shaped the screenplay, and written dialogues for the drama.
Actress Malavika Manoj, who previously worked with actor Rio Raj in Joe, has played the female lead role in the entertainer. The makers are currently working to reserve a date for release of the drama. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon. The production unit had released the first look motion poster of the flick earlier this year on social media. They have now launched the first single ‘Jodi Porutham’ from the entertainer.

Singer M Lakshmikanth has sung the number. Lyricist Vignesh Ramakrishna has penned lyrics for the track. Music director Siddhu Kumar has worked on the musical department of the venture. Aan Paavam Pollathathu is the second time he is teaming up with actor Rio Raj after their successful outing in Joe. The song has been mixed and mastered by Abin Pushpakaran.
Aan Paavam Pollathathu is touted to be a family drama that revolves around modern day marriage where a middleclass husband has qualms with his wife’s progressive attitude which jeopardizes their marriage. The first look motion poster of Aan Paavam Pollathathu depicted actress Malavika Manoj in three different versions donning a traditional attire with shades, her screaming in a megaphone, and a snap of her playing a guitar. All the versions of her are seen drilling actor Rio Raj’s head with a drilling machine.
Beside Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj, the star cast of Aan Paavam Pollathathu also has actors Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel, Sheela Rajkumar, Jenson Dhivakar, and RJ Vigneshkanth in various supporting characters. Cinematographer Madhesh Manickam has handled camera gears for the venture.
Editor K G Varun has been engaged to oversee the editing division of the project. Art director Vinoth Rajkumar has designed the background for the movie. Action director N G Arjun has fashioned action blocks for the flick. Aan Paavam Pollathathu is bankrolled by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel for the production label Drumsticks Productions.
On the work front, actress Malavika Manoj is presently occupied in her next Telugu movie Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama directed by director Ram Godhala in which she will be seen alongside actors Suhas, Natassha, & Nayani Pavani, and a Malayalam flick Sumathi Valavu helmed by storyteller Vishnu Sasi Shankar in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Arjun Asokan, Sreejith Ravi, Gopika Anil, and Gokul Suresh.
