Actor Jayam Ravi never ceases to amaze the audience with his effort to pick fresh subjects. The actor was last seen on screens in the action drama Bhoomi which hit the screens under the direction of film maker Lakshman with actress Nidhhi Agerwal in the female lead role. The drama opened up to negative reviews from the audience and critics alike. Naturally, it fell flat in the box office. Now, the actor has put that behind him, and has gotten busy with his next untitled venture. Actress Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to play the female lead role. While actress Anupama Parameshwaran will be seen in the second heroine role. Screenwriter Antony Bhagyaraj who had previously written the scripts of Viswasam and Annaathe has turned director for the entertainer. The venture is set to go on floors in Chennai with a small pooja ceremony next month. The pre-production works are underway in full swing. Now, we have news regarding the title of the flick.
The production house has dropped the title of the drama on social media with a motion poster. They have named the project as Siren. Actor Jayam Ravi himself has shared the news. Taking to his official twitter handle, the actor unveiled the motion poster and wrote, “Super happy to announce my next film Siren with a motion poster. Directed by Antony Bhagyaraj. Thanks to producer Sujata Vijayakumar for making this project bigger! Keerthy Suresh, Anupama Parameshwaran. Music G. V. Prakash Kumar. Siren Motion Poster
The few seconds motion poster of Siren opens in a dark location. It subsequently jumps to the aerial shot, and we witness police jeeps and an ambulance rushing somewhere with the siren wailing. Siren is touted to be a crime thriller. Apart from actors Jayam Ravi, Keerthy Suresh, and Anupama Parameshwaran the film has actors Samuthirakani and Yogi Babu essaying various other supporting roles. The music for the flick is composed by music director G. V. Prakash Kumar. Cinematographer Selvakumar S. K has cranked the camera for the drama. The editing department has been handed over to editor Antony L Ruben. Stunt coordinator Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed the action sequences. The entertainer has been bankrolled by Sujata Vijayakumar, and Anusha Vijayakumar under the banner house Home Movie Makers.
On the work front, actor Jayam Ravi who was last seen on screens in Bhoomi is currently busy shooting for his next project titled Iraivan under the direction of story teller Ahmed in which he has shared the screen space with actress Nayanthara. The Tik Tik Tik actor is gearing up for a consecutive release. He is awaiting the release of the most expected film of the year the epic historical flick Ponniyin Selvan scripted by auteur Mani Ratnam in which he has essayed the part of Arul Mozhi Varman popularly known as Raja Raja Cholan. The entertainer is set to hit the theaters on 30th of September this year. Apart from this movie, the actor has Jana Gana Mana filmed by storyteller Ahmed in which he has shared the screen space with actress Taapsee Pannu, and Agilan directed by filmmaker N. Kalyan Krishnan in which he has co starred with actresses Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran in the post production getting fine tuned for release.
