Actor Vishnu Vishal ventured into Tamil cinema with the critically acclaimed Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. The Ratsasan star is now gearing up to launch his younger brother Rudra into the industry via the romantic drama Oho Enthan Baby. He has also played an extended cameo role in the project. Story teller Krishnakumar Ramakumar, who helmed the segment ‘Kaadhal Enbadhu Kannula Heart Irukkura Emoji’ in the anthology film Modern Love Chennai, has written and directed the entertainer. Bollywood actress Mithila Palkar is set to make her debut in Kollywood with her female lead in the film. Actress Anju Kurian of Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal fame has depicted the second female lead role in the drama. The makers are looking to bring the entertainer to theaters in the month of July. They are currently working to freeze a date for release. An official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon.
The production house has now unveiled the first glimpse video from the movie on social media. Taking to his official X account, actor Vishnu Vishal shared a special poster along with a link to the first glimpse from Oho Enthan Baby and wrote, “Feels like the start of my career again. Just that, it’s for my brother Rudra now. Super happy and excited to present the first glimpse of Oho Enthan Baby. Extend your support to my brother, director Krishna and all the debut talents who have worked in this movie. See you in the theaters next month!” Here is the post made by the actor.
One minute odd first glimpse clip of Oho Enthan Baby begins with a voiceover, “Sir, you had asked for a love story, right? It is ready now. Sir, the opening shot is . . .” Then we have headshots of all the characters that are part of the drama. The title of the entertainer is inspired from the vintage classic song of the same name from the 1961 movie Thennilavu headlined by Gemini Ganesh and Vyjayanthimala. Apart from Rudra, Mithila Palkar, and Anju Kurian, the casting unit of Oho Enthan Baby also has actors Mysskin, Karunakaran, Redin Kingsley, Balaji Sakthivel, Geetha Kailasam, Nirmal Pillai, Sujatha Babu, Arun Kurian, Nivashini, Kasturi, Vaibhavi Tandle, and Vijayasarathy portraying various supporting characters.
The technical side of the movie has music director Jen Martin handling musical instruments for the drama. Cinematographer Harish Kannan has taken care of the cinematography department of the flick. Editor R C Kannan has been trusted with the editing division of the movie. Art director Vignesh Guru has fashioned sets for the project. Action director Dinesh Kasi has choreographed action moves for the entertainer. Oho Enthan Baby is bankrolled by Vishnu Vishal himself under his home production Vishnu Vishal Studioz partnering with Raahul under the production label Romeo Pictures along with K V Durai for the banner house D Company. The post theatrical rights of the flick, has been bagged by Netflix OTT streaming platform.
On the work front, actress Mithila Palkar is expecting the release of her upcoming Hindi flick Happy Patel Dangerous Jasoos crafted and headlined by Vir Das. She is currently busy shooting for her next venture titled Bhooth Bangla scripted by Priyadarshan in which she will be seen alongside actors Akshay Kumar, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi. On the other hand, actress Anju Kurian will have her next release in Tamil via Wolf helmed by story teller Vinoo Venkatesh in which she has shared screen space with actor Prabhu Deva.
