Actor Dhanush K Raja last graced the silver screen in the action crime movie Kuberaa crafted by Sekhar Kammula with actors Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The Naane Varuvean star is now getting ready for the release of his next flick christened Idly Kadai. Besides headlining the entertainer, he has also penned the script, and directed the project.
Actress Nithya Menen, who has already collaborated with actor Dhanush in Thiruchitrambalam, has been paired against the star in the flick. Actor Arun Vijay will be seen in negative shades in the film. The shoot for the drama took place in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai, Theni, Pollachi, and in Bangkok. The entertainer was supposed to hit theaters on 10th of April. But for reasons best known to the production unit it got delayed. They have now announced that the venture is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on 1st of October this year.
Actor Dhanush recently celebrated his 42nd birthday. As a token of love the production team of Idly Kadai has unveiled the first single from the album. Taking to his official X account, musician G V Prakash Kumar himself dropped the first single ‘Enna Sugam’ from Idly Kadai and wrote, “Here is the romantic and rustic . . . rural love magic Enna Sugam. A Dhanush K Raja film. The visuals of this song will be another magic just wait to watch it on big screens soon . . .” Here is the post made by the actor.
Actor Dhanush has lent his voice for the number along with singer Shweta Mohan. He has also written the lyrics of the song. The track is mixed and mastered by Jehovahson Alghar. Music director G V Prakash Kumar has partnered with actor Dhanush for the ninth time in his career after their celebrated albums in Polladhavan, Mayakkam Enna, Asuran, and Captain Miller.
Apart from Dhanush, Nithya Menen, and Arun Vijay, the casting crew of Idly Kadai also has veteran actor Rajkiran, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, R Parthiban, P Samuthirakani, Ilavarasu, Indumathy Manikandan, and Vadivukkarasi depicting various supporting roles. Cinematographer Kiran Koushik has worked on the cinematography department of the project. Editor G K Prasanna has been hired to bring coherence to the flick.
Art director Rahul has engineered sets for the movie. Stunt master Peter Hein has choreographed action moves for the entertainer. Idly Kadai is backed by Dhanush himself under his production house Wunderbar Films in affiliation with Aakash Baskaran for the production label Dawn Pictures. Actor and politician Udhayanidhi Stalin will bring the film to theaters under his production banner Red Giant Movies.
On the professional side, actor Dhanush is currently busy with a slew of his future ventures tentatively titled D 54 crafted by Vignesh Raja in which he will be partnering with actress Mamitha Baiju, D 55 scripted by Rajkumar Periasamy, D 56 filmed by Mari Selvaraj, and a Bollywood project Tere Ishk Mein helmed by Aanand L Rai in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Prabhu Deva and Kriti Sanon. Wrapping which he will begin to shoot for the biopic of APJ Abdul Kalam titled Kalam scripted by Om Raut, and Ilaiyaraaja directed by Arun Matheswaran.
On the other hand, actress Nithya Menen is engaged in her next Telugu entertainers Praana directed by V K Prakash, Ravi Varma helmed by Lenin Rajendran in which she will be costarring with actresses Lakshmi Sharma, & Mallika Kapoor, and a Kannada film Ommomme crafted by story teller Nagashekhar in which she will be seen alongside actor Chetan Kumar.
