Actress Viji Venkatesh has played a crucial role in the drama. The production house is currently looking to freeze a date in the month of June to release the movie. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon. They have now released the trailer of the entertainer on social media.

Taking to his official X account, actor Prabhudeva unveiled the trailer of Angikaaram and wrote, “Super intense and powerful trailer! Congratulations to my brother KJR and the whole team. Best wishes! Trailer here. JP Thenpathiyan, Swastik Visions, Ghibran Vaibodha, Viswa, Viji Venkatesh, Peter Hein, DK, Sindhoori Vishwanath, R Rangaraj Pandey, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vasundhara Kashyap, SKP Prasanth, Ajith Baskar, Arun Murugan, Sampath Alwar, Sherif, Prathool, Tuneverse, Yuvraaj, Beat Route” Here is the post made by the actor.

The nearly three minute trailer of Angikaaram begins in a courtroom where actor Mansoor Ali Khan tells the judge, “Cricket is our national game!” The judge corrects him, “Huh! Hockey is our national game!” Actor KJR chimes in, “Sir, India does not officially have a national game.” Then we have a few shots of him training as an athlete.

The scene cuts to his mother encouraging him, “Son, the moment you step on to the track the race is already yours.” We see actor KJR taking the field to compete in a race. In a subsequent shot, his mother tells him, “I want to raise you both to become successful, and until we move into a house where we sleep without fear, this will be our situation.” The shot cuts to actress Vasundhara Kashyap saying, “Most of the kids I train come from struggling families. But when you notice his confidence, it will astound you.”

In a scene we witness actor KJR expressing to his sister, “Thangamayil, this is my last national race. I will make sure to win it.” Then we see him in police custody. Subsequently, his mother tells him, “Mere talent is not enough to get us what we need or the recognition we deserve.” The shot cuts to him pleading to a lawyer, “Left with no choice, I have turned to the court for justice.” She responds, “Lately, people with no money or job are filing cases against the government with false allegations. Almost as if it has become a culture or a designated job.”

In a shot we see actor KJR articulate his suffering to a man, “My life is more than the 20 seconds you witness on that track. There’s 29 years of hard work behind it. We will easily win if we are sent to a sports meet. But making it to the meet is a huge challenge.” We then have a scene where his mother tells him, “In a country that despises the existence of poor people, do you think they will let you question them in court? Sportsmanship is not an ordinary thing for us, Aathi. It is our medium for freedom.”

In a scene actor KJR hurls a punch dialogue, “Before the affected can even raise a question, the narrative you plant becomes the cruelest form of violence. A Sports Minister can oversee the excise department, as well. But here, the excise minister is also in charge of the sports department.” The trailer ends with a lawyer complaining, “No matter how much the government does for these people, some will always find faults.” To which actor KJR retorts, “The Gold medal, you take so much pride beating your chest are none but won by these people who are below the poverty line.”

Star cast of the movie also includes actors Mansoor Ali Khan, Vasundhara Kashyap, Antony, Rangaraj Pandey, Isabella, Rama, Mohan Ram, Arul Jothi, Sindhoori Vishwanath, Ajith Koshy, Ram Vimal, and Janaki. Music composer Ghibran Vaibodha has overseen the musical division of the film. Cinematographer A Viswanath has been behind the lens for the entertainer.

The editing department of the flick has been handed over to editor Dinesh Kumar. Art director Ramu Thangaraj has engineered sets for the movie. Action master Peter Hein has choreographed action moves for the film. Angikaaram is backed by SK Prasanth, Ajith Baskar, and Arun Murugan under the production label Swastik Visions.
