Actor Vetri Sudley who ventured in to Tamil cinema through the impressive 8 Thottakkal was last seen on screens in the sequel of Jiivi which hit the OTT video streaming platform under the direction of story teller Sri Ganesh with actress Ashwini Chandrashekar in the female lead part. The entertainer opened to mixed reviews, and is yet to garner the attention of audiences. The Jothi actor has now moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie christened Memories. Directors Syam and Praveen have directed the entertainer. Writer Vipin Krishnan has offered his assistance in shaping the script. The project which went on floors a while back with a small pooja ceremony, is now done and dusted ready for release.
The production house had recently released a poster from the film which had a part of actor Vetri Sudley’s head cut open showing us a version of himself sitting inside holding the brain in his hand. Now, the production unit has released the trailer of the drama on social media along with its release date. Memories is all set to hit the theaters on 10th of March this year. Actor Vetri Sudley himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter page, the actor dropped the trailer of Memories, and wrote, “Watch the official trailer of ‘Memories’. Nearly two minute trailer opens to a wide shot of a forest landscape with the voiceover, “Events will be forgotten. But memories will not be erased. Everybody has a unique life, problems, memories. Our past life will be trailing us. Sometimes they are dangerous.” In the visuals we see actor Vetri carrying a bouquet. With a jump cut of a bunch of mystery shots, we have the voiceover of actor Vetri, “Everything is a moment, an accident, a trap. It could happen even in your life.” The trailer sets up high expectations for an edge of the seat mystery thriller drama. The trailer also displays its technical prowess in its brilliant coloring and shots. Memories is touted to be a murder mystery which revolves around a gruesome killing. Actor Vetri Sudley stands accused of the murder. But the actor has completely lost his memory, and is unable to recollect the events around the murder. Whether he is innocent or guilty form the crux of the story.
Apart from actor Vetri Sudley, Memories has actresses Parvathy Arun and Dayyana Hameed depicting female lead parts. The casting department of the drama has actors Harish Peradi, Ramesh Thilak, PNR Manohar, Sajil, Sri Kumar, Salildas, and Vipin Krishnan playing various other supporting roles. Music director Gavaskar Avinash has scored music for the movie. Cinematographers Armo and Kiran Nuptial have been behind lens for the flick. Editor San Lokesh has edited the movie. Art director Thennarassu has designed the background for the venture. Action director Ashraf Gurukkal has choreographed action blocks for the entertainer. The project is funded by Shijuthameen under the production company Shijuthameen Film Factory Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, actor Vetri who was last seen on screens in Jiivi 2 is currently busy shooting for Theenkirai crafted by director C Sivam Prakash Raghavadass in which he will be co starring with actress Aadhira Panilakshmi, for Kannagi under the direction of film maker Yashwanth Kishore in which he will be seen alongside actresses Keerthi Pandian, and Vidya Pradeep, for Bumper directed by storyteller M. Selvakumar in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Shivani Narayanan, and for an untitled film helmed by director Shaams. Apart from these projects, the actor has Red Sandal helmed by debutant director Guru Ramaanujam in the post production stage getting shaped for release.
