Actor Vetri Sudley has earned himself a reputation in Tamil cinema by choosing projects of substance. A trait only a handful of artists in the K-town excel at. The actor turned the attention of Tamil cinema audience towards him right away with his impressive performance on his critically acclaimed debut film 8 Thottakkal. The commercial success of the flick brought the thriller flick Jiivi on his way. Directed by V. J. Gopinath the movie was based on an interesting concept called ‘Thodarbiyal’ (synchronicity). The actor was last seen on screens in the sequel of Jiivi which hit the OTT video streaming platform under the direction of film maker Sri Ganesh with actress Ashwini Chandrashekar in the female lead role. The entertainer has not clocked much views. The Jothi actor has put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his next flick christened Memories. Director Syam Praveen has helmed the drama. He has written the script of Memories with the assistance of Vipin Krishnan. The project which went on floors a while back with a small pooja ceremony, is now done and dusted ready for release.
Now, the production unit has announced the release date of the movie on social media. Memories is all set to hit the theaters on 10th of March this year. Actor Vetri Sudley himself has announced the date. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared a poster from the movie, and wrote, “Memories are all set to thrill you from March 10. The poster has a part of actor Vetri Sudley’s head cut open showing us a version of himself sitting inside holding the brain in his hand. Memories is touted to be a murder mystery. It is a story about a gruesome manslaughter. Actor Vetri Sudley stands accused of the murder. But the actor has completely lost his memory, and is unable to recollect the events around the murder. Whether he is innocent or guilty form the crux of the story. The production house had released the teaser of the film nearly a year ago. The teaser has had a tepid response from the audience.
Apart from actor Vetri Sudley, Memories has actresses Parvathy Arun and Dayyana Hameed essaying female lead roles. The casting division of the drama has actors Harish Peradi, Ramesh Thilak, PNR Manohar, Sajil, Sri Kumar, Salildas, and Vipin Krishnan in various other supporting roles. Music director Gavaskar Avinash has handled musical instruments for the flick. Cinematographers Armo and Kiran Nuptial have shouldered cameras for the venture. Editor San Lokesh has trimmed the entertainer. Art director Thennarassu has erected sets for the drama. Stunt master Ashraf Gurukkal has choreographed action sequences for the movie. The project is bankrolled by Shijuthameen under the banner label Film Factory Pvt Ltd.
On the work front, actor Vetri who had his last outing in the likes of Jiivi 2 is currently busy shooting for multiple movies simultaneously. The actor is shooting for Theenkirai under the direction of storyteller Prakash Raghavadass in which he will be seen alongside actress Aadhira Panilakshmi, for Kannagi directed by storyteller C Sivam in which he will be sharing the screen space with actresses Keerthi Pandian, and Vidya Pradeep, for Bumper which in helmed by director M. Selvakumar in which he will be co starring with actress Shivani Narayanan, and for an untitled project directed by director Shaams. Apart from these films, the actor has Red Sandal crafted by newbie storyteller Guru Ramaanujam in the post production stage getting refined for release.
