The Tamil racy heist comedy entertainment film, “Thaanaa Serndha Koottam” released on 12 January, 2018. It is based on Neeraj Pandey’s 2013 film “Special 26”. The story is penned down and directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by K.E.Gnanavel Raja. Shivan has taken some basic plots to rework on it, made some crucial changes and given it a quintessential tamil mass hero film packaging to match the local tastes. The film features Suriya and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles with Karthik, Senthil, and few others as the supporting casts. The film has Anirudh Ravichander and Dinesh Krishnan handling the music and cinematography respectively.
A success meet took place in Chennai on 18th January as the film is doing good in the box office. As per the report, Suriya who was conspicuous by his absence due to food poisoning problems during the beginning of the event, made a sudden entry towards the end of the occasion to the surprise of everyone.
He said that he had not missed any event relating to this movie. Thus, he decided to attend the meet inspite of his asking for an excuse. He added that they traveled nearly 1000 kms covering few places in Andhra Pradesh and visited some 10 to 15 theatres too. This was his first multi theatre tour here although his films have been regularly getting a Telugu release in the past 12 years.
