Actor Ashok Kumar who ventured into Tamil cinema with Muruga was last seen on screens in the action thriller flick Vizhithelu which hit the theaters under the direction of A Tamil Selvan with actress Gayatri Rema in the female lead role. The drama was tagged with negative reviews by critics and audiences. Thus, it failed to get the attention of the crowd, and left the theaters unnoticed. The Gangs Of Madras actor has now put that behind him, and is getting ready for the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual film titled Priyamudan Priya. Actress Leesha Eclairs has portrayed the female lead part in the venture. Story teller A J Sujith has penned, and crafted the movie. The drama which went on floors with a small pooja ceremony a long back is finally wrapped, and is in the post production stage shaping up for release.
The production team has now shared the teaser of the drama on social media. Film maker Venkat Prabhu has unveiled the teaser. Taking to his official twitter page, the director dropped links to both Tamil and Telugu teasers of the film and wrote, “Here is the teaser of the psycho thriller Priyamudan Priya. Best wishes to the team. Starring Ashok Kumar, Leesha Eclairs. Director A J Sujith. Music director Srikanth Deva. Dop Sha. Srikanth Deva 100.” Here is the tweet made by the director.

Nearly two minutes long teaser video opens to a radio program with the host speaking, “I am your Priya talking in Priyamudan Priya. Love is like a flower. It has to bloom on its own. It cannot be smoked and made into a flower. A man stalking and coercing a woman even after she turns him down is not love. It is death.” In the visuals we witness actor Ashok Kumar listening to the program with great enthusiasm and relishing it. Following which the teaser takes a serious turn, and we see the actor behaving like a psychopath. He goes after a kid. We are presented with a few shots of criminal activities. We have a cop played by actor Suresh investigating the case. Then we have a scene where actress Leesha Eclairs breaks down, and says, “Seriously, I have no idea who he is, sir.” From the teaser one could gauge that actor Ashok Kumar’s character suffers from a mental disorder, and tries to force actress Leesha Eclairs into a relationship with him. The teaser of the flick is yet to get the attention of the audience. There is news that the production house is planning to bring the film to the theaters in the month of August. They are currently working on blocking a date for release. An official announcement regarding the release date will be made in days to come.
Apart from actors Ashok Kumar, and Leesha Eclairs, the casting division of the entertainer has actors Suresh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Jeeva, A Venkatesh, Baby Vedhika, Baby Meera, and Vaibhavi Joshi depicting various other supporting roles. Music director Srikanth Deva has been brought on board to compose music for the flick. Priyamudan Priya will mark the 100th film milestone for the musician. Cameraman Sha has handled the cinematography department of the project. Editor Idris K has been roped in to trim the venture. Art director Ravidhev has designed the background for the flick. Stunt choreographer Danger Mani has choreographed action blocks for the drama. The film is funded by J Sujith and A Banu along with K Lakshmikanth under the production label Golden Glory Movies. Producer K Balu of Nimo Productions has bagged the theatrical rights of the entertainer.
